Ok then he's probably not interested in coming back. I don't blame him either way, but those numbers are where he's at as an NHL player.I don't know how much he's after the money, but I read that his salary in the KHL is somewhere between $1,1-1,6 million. As the taxes are much lower I don't know if he'd come for that $750k especially if a place in the team isn't guaranteed.
Eric Comrie on waivers.
For 1mil given the lack of top 6 options on this club you need to be making the call
Czarnik looked good in CGY before his injury. I could see him being taken.
He apparently crapped the bed in his Red Wings debut. Leaf fans are screaming for them to pick him up.

So what you going to do with Kovy? For 1mil given the lack of top 6 options on this club you need to be making the call
Sorokin has some very good numbers, he's 24, this seems like the perfect pick up for this team looking to change the look of the goaltending, especially next season. I wonder what the cost might be.14. A couple of my Russian contacts reached out after last week’s note about Islanders goaltending prospect Ilya Sorokin — who is considering an extension in the KHL. They think he’s trying to force a trade from New York to someplace with a clearer path to start. There would be interest — he’s very talented. We’ll see where this goes.
Here's an interesting one from Friedman. Goaltending will need to be addressed next season again. This time it makes more sense to find a younger guy. There were people mentioning that we should've gone after Jarry last off-season, look how that turned out. Sorokin would be a guy we need to be in on if he's available.
Short on development time? Who is he going to take time away from. Our top 6 is in shambles. So what you going to do with Kovy?
Do you really think he can be part of a 5 man up 5 man back unit...
So shortly he becomes o-zone time and specialty power play.....he leaves in the summer!
NOT the right player for us when were at least 3 critical players short (not in the organization anywhere) and short on development time for a couple more.
Definitely, I have seen him play and I like him a lot. Nothing is fir certain with goalies though, but if Koskinen keeps up his game this season I'd feel pretty damn happy going into next season with a Koskinen / Sorokin pair.14. Eklund believes Hall will end up in Calgary too...so probably notAs an oilers fan i would love, love, love to see Taylor Hall signed long-term in CGY. can't think of a better place for him really.
I mean, he would still be like ..our 5th or 6th beat forwardNot for that washed up player who is slower than molasses and has no clue how to check.
He would be our 3rd Islanders goalie we have grabbed in the past what 5 years?Definitely, I have seen him play and I like him a lot. Not a chance I move Benning right not, the guy is our best bottom pair defensman.Kovalchuk for this year, league minimum.
Benning to Ottawa for someone like Tierney, adds where they are needed/capdump?
Idk.
I can't wait for Benning to be back so we can finally send Jones back down. Not a chance I move Benning right not, the guy is our best bottom pair defensman.
I do not understand the hatred guys like Benning and Nurse get on here, they are both solid defenders and are a huge reason why this team has had success this year.I can't wait for Benning to be back so we can finally send Jones back down.
I mean, you can “guarantee it” in the sense where you offer him a one way contract (so he gets paid even if he goes down) and a fair shot at making the team.
Play him with Haas and Nygard. That would be at least an okay 4th lineYeah, it might work, or it migh not I have no idea how much Slepy wants to try again in the NHL or how his possible family likes it in Russia. But it'd be interesting to see him in the Oilers again, he might very well be better than some of the current bottom6 players.
