Surely if Treliving goes to ownership and tells them he wants to sell they tell him he's fired right?

I don't buy it.

I was perusing tears on CP last night and in their trade deadline thread some “insider” (they got a lot of reacts so maybe have broken things before) was suggesting that the last trip was the deciding factor and they are looking to sell as it didn’t go well. Whole bunch of specific details about players that idgaf to remember beyond that

Because they're a seller and a team capable of facilitating other trades. They're expecting a 2nd for Domi straight up and he's their most attractive asset. Will they need to retain?
Most playoff teams have no room left so they would.

Should honestly just LTIR Yamamoto until the playoffs. Dude is constantly injured and his play style doesn’t jive in this league considering his size
Ya this guy is basically going to screw us to make a deal. He could be good today and back on IR tomorrow night

I still think we need another forward that can play in the top 6.

Puljujarvi and Yamamoto failed badly at covering that bet this year, if you have an injury in the playoffs then what? Play Holloway in the top 6 with zero playoff experience?

Calgary will never be sellers as long as we are competitive. They live for the Battle of Alberta and wouldn’t be able to live with multiple years of getting smoked by the Oilers
I do wonder if Huberdeau asks for a trade though. Might be one of those guys that just can’t play in the western conference. We have seen it plenty of times before

Ideal add upfront would be Mike McLeod.

Big, gritty, fast and a right handed C who is good on the dot.

Not sure how expendable he is by NJ

Man if all Holland does here is get Ekholm and Wilson, I would be very happy.

Wilson would be an unreal add, but still need another D. Assuming Yams to LTIR:

Wilson (50%) for 1st '24, Bourgault
Mayfield (50%) for 2nd '23, Lavoie, and Ryan
Domi (30%) for 2nd '24

Kane-McDavid-Hyman
RNH-Drai-Wilson
Foegele-Domi-Kostin
Janmark-McLeod

Nurse-Mayfield
Ekholm-Ceci
Kulak-Bouchard
Desharnais

Skinner
Campbell

11/7 to finish out the year and keep the D fresh. Then come playoff time when Yam returns, he bumps Kostin down a line and Desharnais comes out. Not many teams can compete with that depth.

I wouldn’t be surprised either. I also think he thrives in a low pressure environment and playing in Canada just isn’t the right fit for him.

Calgary should have sucked it up and started their rebuild after Gaudreau walked and Tkachuk asked for a trade. Instead, they picked up an old Kadri with a lot of mileage and Huberdeau who didn’t fit with their team.

You can’t LTIR him if he didn’t actually sustain an injury.

If he even is feeling dizzy for 5 seconds he should be LTIRed. Concussions are not a joke and aren't like a norm bruise/bone/tendon injury. The NHL wouldn't dare try to challenge that either given they are likely to see many concussion lawsuits going forward.
