I wouldn’t be surprised either. I also think he thrives in a low pressure environment and playing in Canada just isn’t the right fit for him.

Calgary should have sucked it up and started their rebuild after Gaudreau walked and Tkachuk asked for a trade. Instead, they picked up an old Kadri with a lot of mileage and Huberdeau who didn’t fit with their team.
Yep second time they have screwed that up. First when Iggy left and again last summer. They just refuse to tear it down and I love it.

Even though he’s older think Kadri is the only one that has actually had a good impact on the flames. You always know when he’s out there. I suspect huberdeau and weegar could be shipped out. Not sure how anyone wants the contract of huberdont

If he even is feeling dizzy for 5 seconds he should be LTIRed. Concussions are not a joke and aren't like a norm bruise/bone/tendon injury.
I agree with you. But I’m assuming that if he did have any concussion symptoms they would shut him down. I would be very disappointed if they didn’t. You can’t lock him down in case he gets concussion symptoms in the future if he’s not suffering them now (or last night).

Calgary will never be sellers as long as we are competitive. They live for the Battle of Alberta and wouldn’t be able to live with multiple years of getting smoked by the Oilers
They can't even properly rebuild because they're stuck with a bunch of bad contracts on older players. They're just going to be the late 90's-early 2000's Oilers. Finish every season between 7 and 10th just to get knocked out in the first round the years they make it.

My brother in law is a really level headed flames fans and we have good chats about hockey.

He even praises McDavid at times :)

He gets so frustrated that they have never really torn it down to build it back up. He’s a long time and loyal fan and his comment is basically “that they seem love either not or barely making the playoffs and picking 17th”

I have a few friends who are flames fans as well and they say the same thing. Just tear it down and start fresh. But apparently their owner doesn’t think the fan base would survive a full rebuild. Shocking :sarcasm:

That would sad if so. Im not flames fan but the city since 2004 has been pretty hockey friendly. I live here and see it. Def more bandwagoney but there are lots of hardcore fans here and hockey in Alberta is good. Both cities need teams.

But I dunno maybe he’s right…

It was 3-1 in the series and me and my oilers friends were in Kensington (near downtown for people that don’t know Calgary)

Barely half the bar was full almost no one wearing a flames jersey.

I know even down 3-1, the oilers bars would be packed and hopeful.

Wilson would be an amazing add but I doubt Washington trades him. I actually wouldn't mind Josh Anderson if Montreal retained 1.5 million.

Can’t see Washington trading him. He’s a core piece along with Ovie, Carlson and Backstrom.
Backstroms back is messed up he is a shell. Ovie is 37 and will be 38 before next season even starts.

Carlson is a good piece but their D is awful with orlov etc gone.

I think they are ripe to rebuild to be honest

It would make my day if Calgary had to retain salary on him.
I don't want CGY to trade him. I want them to be stuck with him.

He has his french buddy Pelletier now cheering him up on the bench lol.

Absolutely crazy, but I had no idea Huberdeau was French until I heard him talk when he got to CGY lol. I didn't even pay attention to his name all of these years.
