I mean it's not really sad , not like HNIC is that good but at least with don it's watchable

You don't like a little laugh on the TV here and there?

Regardless of whether you think his opinions are inflammatory or politically correct or not, I think he did hit his expiration date as a commentator on TV.

He's almost 90 years old.

Seriously??? I’m embarrassed for Oilers fans watching their games, principe running around in a leprechaun suit and childish crap he’s always doing. We already have a clown leading the country on a world stage. Don’t need one leading or countries favourite Saturday pastime.

Honestly... they both just seem so nice, it makes me smile and reminds me of home. I live in Boston now, and the world leaders down here aren't so much better, but your mileage may vary.

Doesn’t seem like much has changed except for Bieksa’s awful haircut.

So what have we learned here. Never listen to Howard Berger....ever and secondly ignore nyquil's "inside scoop"

What “inside scoop”?

I just posted a link to a rumour over three months ago.

I am not affiliated with “Canucks Daily” as I think most people would guess.

We bringing Grapes back? Or has CBC burned that bridge?

I don’t care how many people complain, hockey night in Canada has been dogshit since they let Cherry go
Imo there was a golden age of Cherry but his last years and probably his last decade wasn't nearly as good.

When he was let go it was for that rant of his but they were probably looking for a good excuse to move on from him anyway

Wait a minute, we were told that everybody was fired and then I watched it and everybody was there. Did Sportsnet backtrack cause they are low of imagination and didn't know who to hire?

Dear god no. Cherry's best before date was about 5-7 years before he got the punt. His shtick was tired and boring.
Glad they moved on from Gramps.

You can have that opinion, but I wouldn’t call HNIC an improvement without him.

In fact, I’d call it miles less entertaining, incredibly less informative and much worse analysis even.

Cherry would do a lot more than rant about poppies. He was the best at what he did

I agree 100%.

The only thing I can’t understand about this way of looking at it is … why wouldn’t they have someone waiting in the wings to replace that part of the show?

Bring back Don, bring in Millbury, Keenan, and maybe Babcock. The first three can tell us all what's wrong with the game and the world today, with some fond memories of Orr, Clark, Messier, and whoever mixed in, while Babcock peruses their phones.
