If Hank stays hot and Nash goes on a tear, it's not going to be so easy for them (assuming those two hypotheticals will also mean the Rangers getting out of this series).

A lot of people like the Kings.

When the Kings won the Cup a couple years ago---they were the 8th seed in the west. They didn't make the playoffs until the final game of the year. They ripped through the entire playoffs then. They got on a roll--the players all fell into their roles---they got contributions from all their lines and their goaltender stood on his head.

The Rangers are on a roll now. What they have to do is stay on it. All the players fit into roles. They're getting contributions from all their lines. Henrik is in a zone. There are similarities.

I like the Kings too. But, Rangers win or Rangers lose, that series needs to go long and be brutal. Although I worry about ending this series quick when the other one goes long. Still think we're looking at 6 games minimum here though.

Nah, we just need Kreider to "accidentally intentionally" injure quick :sarcasm:

(I still can't believe they said that crap on national TV)

Fantastic effort as a team. I can't remember the last time i saw such confidence in the team or in myself for the team

Even in our ECF run a few years back i didn't feel this confident as a team.

Can we give the third star to the entire fourth line? Boyle and Dorsett were both fantastic.
Hank was money. What a long way he has come this season. He is looking great, maybe playing the best goal of his career.

I remember 1994--the Rangers won the President's trophy and roared through the first two rounds. The third round against New Jersey was really tough--3 or 4 OT games and we were down 3 games to 2 and in the 6th game the Devils came out really hard--got up 2 goals and just dominated for most of the first two periods. That was the game that Messier called. The 7th game doulbe OT. Vancouver was no picnic either. We dominated the first game but Kirk McLean was just outstanding and the Canucks won in a Rangers dominated OT.

The 1994 playoffs was just one long roller coaster ride. All those 1940 demons. Not good for the mentally challenged--those with manic depressive or clinical depression issues--or for paranoiacs or borderline schizophrenics. This one hasn't been nearly as bad. It's very exciting now though. We climbed out of the pit against Pittsburgh and since then it's been a nice ride.

Therrien using the refs excuse on his post-game, LOL. "We need luck and we need calls" Thats definitely inspiring for your team being down 2-0 in the series....

Henrik Lundqvist with a performance for the decade...what an incredible display of goaltending by Henrik this game, and in these playoffs. god this guy deserves a ring so bad.

Yep. Stick to our board boys. So many haters out there. No one will ever give us credit for winning. Its all good. Just keep winning. LGR!!! :yo:

Everyone wants to talk about Montreal's drama, while conveniently ignoring that they just got outplayed 2 games at home. I'm perfectly content sneaking under the radar to the finals.

No wonder Habs fans are so clueless booing everything at the Bell they take after their whiney coach...What a presser that guy just gave
