Hey guys, this is all very surreal.

It really is. Would have never expected it after game 4 against Pittsburgh. 5 games later, we are 2 wins from the finals. Hasn't sunk in yet.

However, we aren't there yet. Need to clean some things up. Pouliot's penalty late in the third was lucky not to be 5. You can't play perfectly every game but things like that are avoidable.

Looking forward to being in an absolutely crazy MSG Thursday.

Carcillo played a perfect game by his standards. Good on the forecheck, created chances, helped out on defense, and most importantly didn't do anything ****ing stupid.

Whatever happens, his night in Philly will always be a fond memory, haha.

No ****. I gotta say I was completely devoid of emotion after Game 4 until the Pens game 7. I just had that feeling like theres no way we win 3 straight and move on against the Pens. Being up 2-0 in the ECF still hasnt sunk in. Like holy **** were that close now. I was lucky enough to watch and remember every game from 94, and this just feels so different from that year.

It's bizarre. Going on more recent times, in 2012 I thought all year we'd win the Cup. Through the unbelievable regular season, through the 3-2 deficit against Ottawa, the whole Washington series and Devils series, I thought we'd find a way to win the Cup.

I never had a good feel on this team from the beginning of the season. I've just been expecting the worst for some reason, but it's really difficult not to have your hopes up at this point. It's just been a strange season but this run has been incredible so far.

Pouliot always takes dumb penalties though...But he has been excellent on that line

I know what youre saying completely. It's feeling great, but we've still got a long way to go. The 94 run just felt so HUGE and larger than life, this is sooooo different.

I can't believe we are only 2 wins from the Stanley Cup Finals, and we can do it in the next two games at home :yo:

Agreed. Just need to take this one game at a time. Admittedly, it's hard to enjoy this run in the big picture right now, because I'm always looking towards the next game.

Nope. Rangers win game 3 and they've won game 3.

Takes 4 wins to get to the SCF.

:teach:

Absolutely. This team is taking it one at a time though. Credit to Alain Vigneault, he has this team completely composed right now. Everyone is so dialed in. I was completely calm for this whole game, felt no worry at all, which is so strange.

I love this team. 2012, we had zero depth and exhausted. 2014 this team is energized and our bottom 6 has been more productive than our top.

Lets go out next game like we're down. Play hard, focused, poised as always and we will win. a 3-0 win will be huge. Going into the game thinking we've already won is a no-no, thats when we lose, although I know this team knows better. Next game is big.

2-0 after a GWG by Nash? :D I hope he's on fire for the rest of the playoffs.

Please, no matter what happens guys, don't become the Montreal fans ever!

Honestly, even their players saying we got lucky bounces, as if each teams first goal was flukey. No Pachiretti TOTALLY INTENDED to accidentally deflect a Lundqvist poke check over him.

And how many times with refs. THEY HAD MORE POWERPLAYS. Yes the one against Hags wasn't a trip, it was incidental, but come on the Rangers dealt with it like every team does against Pitt. Notice no one mentions how the ref actually picks St. Louis from having a breakaway. Oops!

Let people try to say this team is mediocre. Our top 3 d-men are best in the league. Our goalie is proving he is all-world. We beat Pitt with our highest rated scoring threat doing NOTHING. If Nash's switch is turned on, this team is incredibly dangerous. Pouliot and Zuccarello didn't have their natural center-man either.

Honestly, I've never seen a team whine so much, fans, coaches, players.

No matter what happens, this has been an amazing season for the BlueShirts. Lets keep it going boys.

LETS GO RANGERS!

  • The Rangers went into Montreal, a place where they always struggle and got 2 wins.
  • The broke the streak of not winning a game when having a series lead.
  • They tied a season high 5 game winning streak.
  • Lundqvist is quite possibly playing the best he has ever played in the playoffs.
  • The powerplay is starting to click.
  • Rick Nash is scoring.

This game was SO huge for this team. If this is a dream, please, nobody better wake me up...

94 team were the favorites all year and expected to win it all. This team was expected to be pretty good, maybe not true cup contenders but a team that could maybe make a run. Most people are happy just to be in this position, whereas in 94, anything but winning it all would have been a nonstarter.

Pfft, no shot without Dubinsky. :sarcasm:

Darn, we are peaking at the wrong time. You don't win a Stanley Cup in May. ;)

Happy that Nash scored. Just imagine if we get him going.

Foot to the throat in game 3 please.
