Yeah, great job limiting the Habs rush and at most giving them one weak shot before turning it the other way, taking a chance if they had it and if not, dumping the puck and changing. Lots of quick shifts again as AV rotated through his lineup.

Honestly sometimes it's frustrating when AV rolls this lines so much because I feel like I'm saying "where the **** is Nash and Kreider, or St Louis, or Zucarello? they haven't been on the ice in forever!" but ultimately it's working and keeping the team fresh

One of the Habs fans referred to the Rangers as "tireless," which I thought was appropriate. Somehow, the Rangers are the freshest team out there right now, east or west, despite going the distance in both of the first two rounds.

Me too. I was literally screaming at my TV "Where's Nash!" The guy has been great defensively and I want him out there with empty nets.

But AV has masterfully coached this team thus far. Who am I to say anything else. The team seems to be extremely fresh.

While this series is not over, I predicted that McDonagh would not be outshined by Subban. In that not only will Subban do poorly against the Rangers, but that McDonagh would shine.

6 points in 2 games with a +3, as opposed to 0 points in 2 games with a -3.

Just saying :).

Subban is actually pretty awesome in some ways, easily an exciting and dynamic player...but he's trying to do everything again and making some mistakes and pressing a bit too much. Also, his own zone play is pretty average a lot of times. He'll make just as many really bad passes in his own zone as he will good passes and isn't as strong on the puck along the boards as he is with it on open ice

McDonaghs' defensive game and work with the puck in the defensive zone is wayyyyyyyy better, but Subban can certainly rush the puck well and has a hell of a shot

Will he really? I don't think he has to be with the team since he's out for the season.

there was a big fight about it - he wanted to stay with the team and the Mets wanted him full time in rehab in Florida. They worked out an agreement, he can be in NYC when the Mets are home and then has to be at the facility in Port St Lucie when they're on the road

Also practice time, I still really feel like having time to run some practices helps keep them sharp, especially when their game starts getting kind of sloppy like it was tonight

I attribute some of the sloppiness to the Habs.

Had to think the home team would have been better than last game and with adjustments here and there they were going to look better.

Rangers can be sharper no question, but I think they started getting their game back as the minutes ticked away.

That team reminds me of the Caps. Lives and dies by the PP, and when they get one the strategy is literally just pass to Subban.

It's been an 82 game season of rolling the lines. We're really seeing the payoff now.

Masterful 3rd period by the Rangers. One of the best I've seen them play in ages when defending a lead.

Our forward depth puts a huge smile on my face. Literally every forward is playing good hockey right now.

The league will suspend Pouliot though; everyone knows it.

I think emelin is fine. He didn't hit the boards nearly as hard as he made it seem

That was a dumb hit by Poo though, right in the numbers. Can't do that.

I like to think this was Poo's "dumb game" for the series since he was probably due for one, but hopefully it won't happen again

As much as I miss Del Zotto as a personality, I think Klein has really made that possible.

I thought that pairing struggled a bit tonight with the Habs putting on so much pressure but they weren't on the ice for a goal so I guess that' ssomething

e: oops they were hahaha my bad I thought that was McD and Girardi for some reason. Well, that goal wasn't really there fault but they were getting worked over that shift. Like I've said before, I dont' want them out there against the other teams top line and that's what happened there

Lundqvist was unbelievable tonight. Can't believe we're 2 wins away from the finals.

Where they'll be fodder for whoever emerges from the west...

So impressed with Hank right now. Making me change my tune about having an expensive star goalie. Looooooong way to go though.

Does he get off on days the Mets aren't playing?

OMG hillarious

We constantly roll 4 lines and 3 d pairs. And the fact our second round series ended first

Whatever, you can't win the cup without making it to the finals, gotta get that chance at least. I'm not gonna sit here and say they have no chance, screw that
