Post-Game Talk: Round 3, Game 2: Can the Rangers break the streak?????

No hopin for/thinkin 'bout Hawks til we wrap this up.
There's nothing beyond Thurs game 3, til it's over.
Then and only then ditto g4.
 
Yeah, 2 of the 3 goals against Henrik were incredibly fluky. And we got one or two lucky bounces as well. But Henrik is just in great position 99% of the time. Shots hit him, he is on the zone and moving fast. That isn't luck. I know pk is mad and trying to convince himself they can win against a top level lundqvist.

I've been sick of everyone finding ways to marginalize our wins. "Philly sucks", "fleury is terrible", "the east is weak", "no price", "lundqvist is lucky". "They are using the death of msl's mom".

We've won without much out of our top forwards or McDonagh until this round. The worst schedule in almost 30 years. No one talks how we are 5-1 since we've had normal rest. Technically 5-0 since the 6 games in 9 nights. Everyone throws the 3 straight losses out as a reason that we suck but the terrible scheduling is long forgotten. That's why I'm delighted with all the breaks. It makes everyone so mad. We can never win legitimately at this point, embrace it now and revel in their anger.
 
I also find it funny that the Habs fans say they are losing cause they dont have Price, will probably never admit that they could very well lose their series against the Lightning since they were without their Veznia candidate goalie.

Price had a GAA of 2.5 in that series. Lindback(4 GAA in the Habs series) is not a great NHL goalie(at least a the moment) and gave a good amount of goals that Bishop would surely have saved. Not only would the Habs not won in 4, giving them the most rest of any team in the 1st round, they may have not won at all.

They are taking their cue from their coach. Krieder did it on purpose. No, he did not. Yes he did. The refs are against us.

At this time, you either playing well or not. There is no sense in engaging Therien or Subban. Or any other Hab. Stay quiet and keep doing what you are doing.

Bingo.

Ignore the naysayers. 4 teams are playing hockey. We are watching Rangers hockey right now and that is all that matters.

Most of this comes from fans of teams that are golfing right now. Frankly, their opinion means less than dog ****.

Loved when Kreider was draped over him in the 3rd and wouldn't let Subban go 2 feet past the blueline when he was trying to rush...forced him to go back to the neutral zone and reassess.
 
We need to put less focus on what all the haters are saying, and just focus on winning the next two games. We haven't done anything yet. No need to worry about any idiot fan of another team on this forum making posts about us.

Let's worry about what we're trying to do here, and that is watch our team continue to perform, and get these next two wins so we can be one of the last two teams standing to fight for the cup.

I want to see that patch on their shoulders next round...

Lets do it boys.

Exactly. We haven't accomplished anything yet. The work is not done. Keep grinding and take every game on its own. Win each period. String together small wins and the rest takes care of itself.
 
i love how some people are saying how lucky rangers are..."mason was injured, fleury stinks, now price is injured"

emery stole game 2 for flyers, the only game you can say mason may have made a differene was game 3. flyers were awful in game 1, emery kept them in it until the 3rd, they werent winning winning that game with mason. and do people forget we beat mason in game 5 and 7??

and we already scored 2 on a healthy price in game 1, and unless price beats us 1-0 last nite canadians werent winning that game either.

as for fleury he had a solid regular season and shut us out in back to back games. fleury was not the reason penguins lost, the reason was henrik stoned them the last 3 games.
 
Pay no attention to the naysayers or those that are making excuses for our team's success. They are simply jealous and bitter that their team is sitting home watching tv. The less attention you give them, the quicker they'll go back to their dark basements.

Whenever the Rangers win its because they were lucky. Or the other team played bad. Or the other team had injuries. Or the refs gave them the game. It's never because they were just plain the better team.

The Rangers have done plenty but we, the people on HF, really have no part in their accomplishment. I don't see why we have to pretend to be better than other people who similarly play no part in the accomplishments or failures of atheletes...
 
Hard to imagine Prust being a d-bag to the Rangers like that. He was best buds with Boyle and meshed with the team pretty well. I know it's a few different players but its hard for me to accept that he's willing to cheapshot some of his old buddies like that. There's gamesmanship and there's being Matt Cooke. Prust strikes me as doing more of the former than the latter.

Hank and Prust are good friends so most definetly just a bump between friends.
