I wouldn't say obviously, personally. They were the better term tonight. Boston showed a lot of flaws this series, but they came in a little battered and Florida made them pay. Still wouldn't want the Bruins. Too many bad memories, and with our luck they probably would have returned to form to start Series 2.
Playoff results mean everything, everything else is smoke and mirrors. So I was told all season long. The better teams always win in the playoffs. 82 game season just rope a dope. And Florida was the better team 4 times, not just tonight.

I don't think Leafs would underestimate Panthers, it's not about if they are weaker or not. Boston probably is hard to beat from Leafs perspective because of the history. Keefe will probably have a new way to play against Panthers. His mindset might always plan to play against Bruins next round.

Leaf nation already underestimating a Florida team that just won a 7 game series against a team who won 65 regular season games

You'd have to be so hockey illiterate to think Florida is going to be a easy win

I don't think anybody is doing that It's just VERY easy to hate Boston

Florida has good elements to their game, I would still be very weary of them. However. Looks like their D is nowhere near the systems TB has.

Leafs have better team but stand no chance beating Florida if they play them the same way they played Tampa.

Anyone else who actually watch that series and not just highlights agrees with me for sure.

The only reason I prefer the Panthers is because it's new and fresh. I also didn't want to hear 20x a game about how amazing Patrice Bergeron is. We get it, he's an amazing player and person.

Odds on how many times Barkov is called underrated in the series? I'll say O/U 2.5 times a game.

There are no easy matchups. At least Leafs have home ice now. FLA is preferable to Boston I suppose.

I never assumed this series was a gimme. Bruins burned plenty of energy setting the record.

FLA lacks the D to prevent Leafs from scoring. As long as Leafs maintain their physicality on e backend, FLa should lose
They also are alot of penalties which plays into our hand

Fair enough, you're entitled to your perspective.

It's not. Like at all.

Here's the thing: Boston is nowhere near as dangerous on the counter attack as the Leafs are. Florida did a very high tempo forechecking game and they took a lot of risks in the neutral zone, and they did get burned by Boston a few times on the counter but they were confident in their ability get it back in the end.

If Florida gives us as many looks as they were giving Boston we will blow them out.

We just play better against them.

Just like Florida plays well vs Boston (they beat them in the regular season as well).
