Please separate Nash and MSL obviously that line doesn't work put Nash with Richards and hagelin up on the 1st line... And this is wat happens when a heartless team gets comfortable they don't give a ****

Time for some fresh legs tomorrow night on the 2nd night of a back-to-back:

Miller for Dorsett
Diaz for Klein (and give him some PP minutes)

This would be true if the goalie had a chair in the net.

Whenever you see Henrik like this…

You are seeing a goaltender at rest.

Aren't you a goalie? I am, and can say from experience, in a game where the play is largely in your zone you get tired. Even if they only get 20 shots on goal, if theyre in your zone the majority of the game and you're constantly shuffling, butterflying up down, moving around in your crease, you know you get tired.

I don't know why you of all people are making that point.

Especially against a team like the Penguins that spends so much time in your zone, you're doing a **** load of work.

100% agreed. Although this wasn't the original point I was arguing.

When asked about whether his team was tired, AV brought up the point that "my goalie wasn't tired tonight, why should anyone else be?"

My point was, the players as in forwards/defense are naturally more tired in the last 3 weeks because of this schedule more than Lundqvist is. Players skate much more and are way more physically active than a goaltender.

Hank had plenty in the tank tonight, the team in front of him are who were suffering the most from fatigue.

I am hoping they rest/recover as much as they can tonight, and the crowd can give them the extra push they need tomorrow night.

Whoever made the rangers 2014 playoff schedule should be tarred and feathered, dragged through the streets, and beaten. Consecutive series with back to back games.. GTFO

1. I am encouraged by Lundqvist being in top form. He really was the MAN tonight. Best player on the ice.

2. Rangers looked tired and didnt meet the Pens Physical play. Not sure how well that bodes for tomorrows back to back. Rangers are a faster team but the Pens took that away in game2. Lets see the coach coach and figure it out.

3. Gotta crash the net. The whole world knows MAF is fragile waiting to happen....MAF is the weak link. Must crash the net and shoot like crazy.

4. Rick Nash... enough already. You gotta score some goals dude.

5. I still like the team....they look like a team. Today they looked like a team tired of getting hit and pushed to the perimeter. Bring on game 3

People are actually mad at dorsett? This game was over 10 minutes in when they were 0-3 on the pp. The score may have been close, but the game was over.

We ended up with 3 minors for diving last series and kunitz got away with that ridiculous flop? If anything, be mad at dorsett for not hitting him hard enough.

I'm so ****ing pissed off at this game.

I can't wait till game 3 starts already. Every other game it's like night and ****ing day with this team. I hope to god that trend continues.

McDonagh has been literally costing us goals all postseason. He shouldn't play hurt. I and we all know he is a dominant force, so the Burrows hit has to be the reason. There's no way he just turned bad.

Nash - has played well, generating, but tonight was ****ing abysmal.

MSL - where are you?

All in all, the entire team didn't ****ing show up.

Also, to the poster saying the Pens are the better team when they try - there's no way to prove that, because the Rangers didn't even ****ing show up. If the Rangers and Penguins both play at the top of their game, and the Penguins dominate, then we know that's the case.

Yeah, I don't know exactly what the injury is, but if he needs some kind of surgery then he should just have it.

Hagelin is absolutely useless. Don't kill any offense richards has by putting him with Nash AND hagelin.

Girardi had a bad game and McDonough with alot of **** ups with the puck... Penguins were playing hard, Rangers didnt expect it.

They hung with them for awhile, but there was not much room to make plays. Power play looking horrific is just beyond me, and the Torts PK needs to go... plays are just not aggressive enough on the PK... point-men are able to just waltz in and blast away.

AV needs to get these guys to utilize stretch passes... Pens D is not that slow, but very stupid... Players need to be rushing up to the red line to get passes, instead of this sloppy "lets lug it out of the zone for the umpteenth time"

Our guys just don't have the touch or vision for that long pass. Moore doesn't have the vision. Staal doesn't have the vision. Stralman doesn't really. They may have enough touch but they don't recognize long options quickly enough for it to be effective. Girardi and Klein don't have the touch for that kind of stretch. McD was capable when healthy but right now I'd just like to see him have a solid game. Team lacks the ability to execute the kind of play you're talking about to put an aggressive team like PIT on their heels and force them to think twice.

Fair enough, I see your point.

What we need is to have the best period of the playoffs in the first period tomorrow night. Come out flying, if we get a PP- score. Best case would be to put in 2-3 early goals, shake any confidence MAF has out of his head, and more importantly get Pitt running around. It's not all MAF, the whole team loses composure after they get scored on, they open up. Tonight they controlled the pace and we couldn't get anything going. No sustained pressure, a lot of low % shots. Come out in the 1st and make them question if tonight was a fluke. Get them to open up having to come back from a deficit.

Lundqvist really went for the steal this game but with zero support he couldn't do it. I'm worried about McD's drop in performance post-injury but what really makes me doubt us winning this series is the final proof that Rick Nash just doesn't have "it".

Nashty is an amazing player on paper. Hands, size and speed. However, he just doesn't have edge. It's a psychological thing too since we've seen him at his very best when his fire is lit. It's a shame too, as mediocre Nash is an OK 2nd liner, but the fired up Rick Nash is top 10-15 in the league (might be a bit OTT).

I slept through this one, "Oh just take a nap for an hour and I'll be straight" turned in to me sleeping until 4am

Glad I stayed asleep for this one, I woke up and saw the score, my beauty sleep is more important

The top line was abysmal, same for the PP

Hank tried his best to steal the game, but for that he would've had to score the goals himself...

Also: Why is the poll multiple choice?

Great job by the Rangers...With the Greatest Goalie in the world, Coming home to play 2 games and to take a commanding lead in this series... after splitting the first 2 at Pens house...LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!

MSL was absolutely awful. Nash was bad as usual, with a few good moves though. Stepan completely invisible. Henrik had his best game in the PO. Staal was good. PP was horrendous . Let's get two games at home now!!! LGR

Yeah, they're the worst team that ever laced up a pair of hockey skates.

Really get tired of this place after a loss.

They really didn't play all that badly. Don't think I've ever seen such bad puck luck for an entire game. Every bounce went to Pittsburgh.

Don't get me started on the linesmen calling icing and offside. I don't think the Rangers can get a proper call when they come into the zone.

GO BACK TO WOOD STICKS!

Why?

Didn't get to see the game so I'm gonna be a homer and vote
Hank
Richards , and the homer vote is
Zucc
