Are we really going to get on the front office for Emery over Hutson? Almost every ranking had Emery ahead, and all this board ever does is bitch about 'BPA' and not 'going off the board' then we draft guys like Othmann and Emery almost exactly where they are predicted to go and people get annoyed...

I mean, this is all well and good, and I admit to not following the draft all that closely last year, but how the hell were the rankings that way?

Defense isn’t all about points, but Hutson had twice the points Emery did in 8 less games on the same team. Emery has 2 points in 20 games for NoDak this year while Hutson has 14 in 16 for BU and skates like a demon. What the f*** are these guys looking at besides height and weight?

I didn't follow the draft at all, so I have no idea about either player.
It's all about future projections and once you get passed about 16-20 I think most rankings will err on the side of bigger = more likely to make it in some way. My only point here is that we (as a collective) can't be bagging out the pick when it's basically the Rangers doing exactly what we keep asking them to do
