We're a lot harder on him than other teams will be. He is what he is but he fills a lot of needs for other teams.

I think Miller would waive, but I think he would want to do it at the TDL and he'd want to call his shot. He's 33 (turning 34 this season), coming up on 1k games played, starting to deal with injuries more regularly, and has no ring. I can't see him giving up he best real shot at being a meaningful contributor to a potential Stanley Cup team. His whole situation has the most potential to be either a real problem or a real opportunity (depending on how Miller, Drury and everyone involved handles it).

Maybe but I'm still skeptical. I probably like JTM a lot more than most of the posters on here so I'm a little biased in that I'd like him to stay (at least I can admit it). JTM also chose to waive his NMC to come back to NY so he obviously likes something about the Rangers. However, the Rangers certainly like trading their captains so after his NMC is up, anything is possible.

That’s normally true but I don’t think the league is ignorantly of his struggles. He’s probably more of someone teams are hoping to “buy low on and hope he turns into something” rather than a centerpiece

I didn't mind HIM, I minded the HE was a stop gap player in a lost season where other 'yutes should have been playing and getting looked at instead. He's far from this team's future. Good on him for making the team now please go away.
