Im intrigued to see what happens with Clifton. He's clearly struggling, but with his contract- He's a player they'll desperately want to find his game again.

I noticed some icky giveaways by Johnson last game, too. I wonder if they give him a break for a game, and let Clifton play with Sammy. He'd at least be on his natural side. Johnson with Dahlin was working.

That being said, given RJ's minutes las game- I wouldn't be surprised if they send him down. Icing the best team would probably have 3 players sit before him, though (Clifton, EJ, Sammy).
I think they said post-game that RJ wasn't feeling the best, which was the reason for the reduced minutes. Don't quote me or anything but I remember something about that. Maybe he caught whatever Joker had.

If they send RJ down we riot right?

Yes. To my eye he looks like the 3rd best D on the team right now.

So what's going on with Greenway? I got the impression that it was a not-good family matter that he left for (or maybe something else that was not good) and he shows on the non-roster section on Cap Friendly. Now this Biro call-up indicates nobody is coming back on the roster soon.

It is a personal matter and nobody really knows what is going on.

Update:

Yeah a bit of hyperbole for the meme from me, but I wouldn't say 80 is an absolute ceiling. He's going to load up on primary and secondary assists with the way he makes decisions and executes passes entering the zone. He's constantly setting up mini scenarios that he and his teammates have the advantage in.

The shot and speed need to improve, but he's literally a kid out there physically. He's one of the slightest and weakest guys I've seen in the NHL and he's still straight up fooling and beating old pros. I think he could be a 75+ assist guy in his prime.

Signing him to a comfortable 2-3 year deal when he's turning 21 fits into our cap with the later years of Tage and Cozens after Skinner and Tuch expire. That's long term planning, but I don't hate getting his ELC going.
Me either the sooner we get to sign him the cheaper

Clifton is clearly the 7th D and should sit. But he's also Adams's largest UFA contract to date, so sitting him would be admitting a mistake.
Part of being a good manager is realizing and admitting mistakes and trying to correct them not just hoping it works itself out even though it could that said I like Clinton's physical game just want him to calm down and clean up his play in his own end I feel if slows it down and gets less antsy he will be a lot better

I'd send a pick to the Bay Area for Sturm, then Krebs to Rochester.
No shame in honing your game in the AHL at 22. There's too much pedigree to be content with him turning into a bottom sixer.
As long as you don’t expect Sturm to be good. He’s an upgrade on Krebs in some regards but a downgrade in others. Might ultimately be a wash.

Adams doesn’t sign anyone to back up a rookie. “Can you believe how he neglects the roster.”

Adams signs a veteran to protect a rookie and the rookie emerges and takes the spot. “Well Adams has to admit he made a mistake.”

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I don't like Joker going with Bryson... you can't sit Joker.. he has been our 2nd or 3rd best Dman in my opinion.
Just a FYI, he’s been paired with him in practices and pre-game skates since returning from illness. By itself, I don’t think it tells us if he’s sitting or they’re going 11/7. Just that they want even pairs for practice.
