You get Hanifin for scraps but here's the catch: you have to take on Markström as well.
Would you consider it?

My reason for saying that is I think that the in zone defensive play is fine, the numbers do say we’re giving up lots of quality but not quantity (better goalkeeping would mitigate this). The bigger issue to me is breaking out the puck and turnovers in the neutral zone.
We are literally handing opponents counter attacks in numbers.

It wouldn’t, but we’d get saves.Giving up lots of quality is a direct consequence to poor defending. Better goaltending wouldn't necessarily mitigate that our defense is giving up quality chances.
Calgary aren't rebuilding either. I think Markström has been up and down a lot during his career and is exactly the type of goalie that Adams doesn't want since the improvement would be small.I'd consider it. His numbers haven't been awful this year, and he has a history of being solid. Maybe Granato can work his magic on him.
That said, we'd need to find places for Comrie and UPL.......and that just seems like too many moves for Adams.

Hard to find any "armchair trades" in geberal.
I've tried to look for trade partners and the only obvious rebuild (Sharks) has absolutely nothing useful on the roster. It's like our 2014-2015 rosters.
The lines are officially in a blender
The island of misfit toys that is the third line gets a new citizen in Alex Tuch!
Someone posted the highlights in the Amerks thread from earlier in the week ( maybe you, much appreciated.) Watch his glove hand. He looks like young Cain trying to catch flies with chopsticks. I hope for the best, but not betting on it.At least Cooley has been good in games I watched for the Amerks. I have more faith in him than say... Tokarski.
32 Thoughts: NHL teams vote to decentralize the draft
In this week's collection of thoughts Elliotte Friedman writes about the league's vote to decentralize the draft and what comes next, plus other notes around the league.www.sportsnet.ca
I would take Conor Garland over VO.
If Comrie is week-to-week, they can put him on IR and depending on Levi's status, it gives them a chance to call up a skater. Wonder if Biro gets a callup, with a chance to beat Jost for a spot? I don't think they call a scorer with Benson still here, but maybe they give Savoie his shot? Rousek, Rosen, Kulich all possibilities?
(I don't think they call up a defenseman, they'll probably roll with Bryson during Clifton's suspension, maybe call up Clague to sit in the press box in case of emergency).
They wouldn’t call up Savoie…he’s on a conditioning assignment so they can see him at that level for six games and decide if he’s ready for NHL games or not. Call him up and you can’t send him back when the roster is full again. These are the only two weeks you get.
Rosen has earned fist call up.

If they are trading Markstom its to clear a spot for Wolf, they have no need for a goalie to gonthe other way unless its one that wouldnt need waivers to go down.Calgary aren't rebuilding either. If you include UPL in the trade and send Levi down you'd have a pretty normal roster.

Konecny and even Frost from Philly could replace Olofsson. I think I'd be willing to give them the matured Risto pick in form of Rosén.
You can easily visit Buffalo over a long weekend as a swede. Calgary absolutely sucks. They just became parents and it would be so much easier for the grandparents and other relatives to visit more frequently.Markstrom has a NMC...forget it.

I think that's a bit of a reach to think he cares about that. He negotiated for a NMC for some reason, it's a lot safer to assume he'll stick with it.You can easily visit Buffalo over a long weekend as a swede. Calgary absolutely sucks. If he gets the chance to be traded to a team that could be relevant before he reaches retirement I think he'll have plenty of reasons to waive that nmc.
We can only speculate but a NMC might be as much about controlling your destination as staying with a team.I think that's a bit of a reach to think he cares about that. He negotiated for a NMC for some reason, it's a lot safer to assume he'll stick with it.
