I can't wait to see what happens when Savoie is healthy. I know a lot of us thought he would replace Benson. But if he comes in and impresses (with Benson in the line up)? We take VO out? What are the imaginary line combos?

I would assume slot in for VO since line 3 is working.

It would be nice but I highly doubt Savoie is ready for NHL

No he didn't and I don't think Savoie will hold up to the physicality of the NHL.

I'll gladly take a look at him and have me prove me wrong but I don't have high hopes.

Why will Benson hold up better? Both are small in stature but Savoie weighed in heavier at almost a 20lbs difference.

Savoie was the best player in the tournament. You can debate Rosen if you like. Savoie was one of their top camp performers last year too. Savoie has the speed Benson does not. I think he will slot perfectly in VO's spot.

Savoie is one inch smaller than Benson and heavier. Gerbe style, good for checking.

Then the majority of our team is not ready for the NHL as they play now. I think Savoie can easily replace VO in the lineup and will be more useful.

No other GM is willing to trade for him.

And as far as why he hasn't been waived to Rochester, who knows other than not wanting a $4M+ winger in the AHL.

If Greenway actually started to take his career seriously then he can be quite the player. Just think that by the time he figures that out he will be too old for it to make any difference.

And Victor Olofsson being a line anchor with one of our best players is going to allow that to continue. But yes, 1st line needs to get going.

Except we heard this same thing about Mittelstadt and Olofsson last year. There’s always the same common denominator.

But I agree I thought Cozens was horrific last game. Getting him away from Olofsson will expedite the process of getting him to normal.

Mittelstadt started turning his season around while playing with Jost and Olofsson

When lines as a whole are not playing well, especially when said lines have been together and should have chemistry, then yes, lines are an issue.

When things aren't working, sometimes you need to tweak things just to spark the team. Maybe you need to use guys that are going, to spark some lines. Playing the same system, with the same lines, isn't going to wake guys up. You need to nudge them to create some momentum. You need something to change.

Move Peterka around, move Benson, Move Krebs, Move Greenway. Any of those players would be a good boost to a Thompson, Tuch, Skinner, Cozens. Hell, even you start small like the PP, you need to change the look/flow of the PP.

Don't get me started on every member of the defense needing a slap across the face to wakeup.

It will be tough, cause Tampa had a crap start too and they re always a handful, but yeah nobody likes VO I guess.
do they even have enough roster spots to sit VO with the the 3 goalies?
