I would say that has a 1% chance of truth and it's more likely they just want someone to take the net. Problem is they can't play defense and a goalie will never succeed

Hated the Jost contract the moment he signed it. At best, we overpaid for a 13th forward. At worst, Adams viewed him as a regular in the lineup. Given the price of the contract, I always figured Adams view him as a bottom 6 guy.

I think it is more likely that he is a solid 13th guy, 2 million got him back and happy to sit in the press box. It also should keep him from getting claimed (I can't imagine a team claiming him) so this type of transaction should be easier to make since we have the cap for this year

Tired: Signing mediocre players to league minimum contracts and spending the cap space saved on good players
Wired: Signing Mediocre to bad contracts because they won't lose them to waivers and not worry about getting any good players.

I think that's the wrong read about this. This isn't more responsibility. I believe this is more about adding Dahlin to PP2. If not for that change, Dylan Cozens at 22 would be the oldest player on that unit.

Perhaps. But that just highlights the complete lack of any good vets on the team.

Or maybe it’s just a name/numbers game to insulate feelings. Because I feel much more confident in Quinn/Benson/Peterka to actually have the effort and creativity to score than I do the first unit.

If Cozens is net front instead of the shot option and Quinn/Benson as quick passing options and Dahlin on the blueline, that second unit might be better than the first.

It may also be that whatever Dahlin is trying to manage is bothering him more and they're trying to limit his time a bit.

I think the three headed monster is one way to scare away UFAs in the future. Total career killer for Comrie.
Levi obviously isn't ready for NHL duty. I would talk to Comrie and give him a lot of games before the TDL to possibly raise his stock. He should be motivated to get the hell out of Buffalo.
