Really considering paying to see the games of Sweden and Canada on TV, both got great rosters for this year.

Hope Lando gets some time with Z.

Good good, Sweden getting a dream team.

Then losing to Finland's above avarage team in Final, everything is going as planned.

Yes. Jalonen has a magic wand that makes players like Tuppurainen, Kiiskinen and Järvinen to be able to match NHL-stars like Sweden has. **** that.

Last year we faced a Russian team that was still recontsructing after the Bykov-era and in the finals we faced basically the Swedish U23-team.

If Sedins do end up joining, Sweden could be unstoppable.

never say never if Swedish olympic team lost to Slovakia in olympic games quarterfinal.. and that team was way better than now, Slovakia having pretty much minimal odds winning it.

Very hard team to beat if Alfie plays as hard as he did in game 7 and the rest of the team follows him. The tournament starts in the quarters so there will be time for practice.

Watch out for an overconfident Swedish team, mailing it in and losing to a far worse opponent - Belarus flashbacks..

Yes, this is what might stop us. Actually, with this team, anything else than gold should be considered a failure and anything else then a place in the final is a fiasco.

But, as has been mentioned. This is a short tournament with single game knockouts. Should we face a hardworking team with a hot goalie, the pressure might start to get to the players.

I am so happy that Zetterberg accepted right away, I think that is what got all of the others to accept. When they see Zetterberg in the lineup they realize that the team has a chance to win which makes it much more attractive to accept. It is kind of how Sundin and Forsberg always accepted, which made it much harder for lesser players to decline.

So we can start to really predict the lines. Samuelsson is the only possible player to be added before Friday.

Landeskog-Zetterberg-Eriksson(do it all line)
Stalberg-Franzen-Alfredsson(the snipe line)
Silfverberg-Kruger-Jarnkrok(youth speed line)
Larsson-Lundqvist-Pettersson(grind line)

N.Kronwall-S.Kronwall(just for kicks)
Karlsson-Hjalmarsson(O & D)
Ericsson-Hedman(the twin towers)

Fasth
Enroth

Can anyone enlighten me on how good is this Ahnelöv fella? He sure is huge, but how useful is he on the big ice?

Franzen as center? Not sure...

Yeah I'm not sure either, but I'd like to give it a try. I think it's important that we set the roles early so that the players can buy in. This would be a way to get our six best forwards in the top6. Third line will still be more than capable(we had something similar last year with Silfverberg/Kruger/Tedenby), but they are a year better now. Plus it's exciting to watch. ;)

PP 1st unit: Zetterberg, Franzen(net-guy), Alfredsson, Karlsson, Kronwall.
PP 2nd unit: Eriksson, Landeskog(net-guy), Silfverberg, Jarnkrok, Hedman.
PP 3rd unit: Stalberg, Lundqvist(net-guy), Kruger, S.Kronwall, Karlsson(double-shifted).

PK 1st unit: Landeskog, Eriksson, Hjalmarsson, Ericsson.
PK 2nd unit: Lundqvist, Pettersson, Kronwall, Hedman.
PK 3rd unit: Kruger, Alfredsson, S.Kronwall, Hjalmarsson(double-shifted).

Well, all the forwards are capable to PK but I'd start with those six. And in the important games we only roll the first two PP units.
