what stats? You can’t use team stats when comparing players. Barzal gets more assists. Larkin scores more goals, wins more face offs, kills penalties, is a team captain and plays for his country.

Funny that Barzal sucks and averages .88 points per game and Horvat doesn’t and averages .70 and he’s historically played with much better players. Oh well, Larkin’s a diva.

I don’t want to trade Barzal for Larkin. I don’t want Larkin. I would only trade Barzal for young players who meet Schaefers timeline.

Everyone has their opinion....and if you ask me what player I want...I'm picking Barzal. I hate the fact that everyone here put Barzal down every second they get a chance. Anyone comes available on the market or on the open market....Oh trade Barzal for him. or sign him, he's better than Barzal.

I have this feeling Darche like everyone here is going to sell Barzal short and get a shitty deal for him. And I will remind everyone here daily when it blows up in our face and throws this shitty organization back even further.

I'm in no way saying he would or could be our savior. But why can't the islanders develop a top goal scorer? Who was the last one? I think we are due. Why cant we catch lightning in a bottle for a change.

I don’t put Barzal down. I just acknowledge this team has done nothing with him and he is the Isles most marketable player. If Darche sells short then he isn’t the right guy for the job. I don’t see how the Isles can build around Schaefer picking in the 12-16 range every year.

But you don't say anything about Larkin not doing the same. and to add on...Larkin is the man in Det and they have been in the playoffs 1 time in 11 years. But Barzal is 5 in 9......how do you gloss over that. Not to mentioned Barzal has 45 pts in 60 playoffs games to 1 pt in 5 games.

You have to be fair...and I don't feel guys here are fair when it comes to Barzal. He is the poster child for all the isles problems for years. I don't think that's right.

Many of us who want to trade Barzal are saying we wouldn't make that trade, so you should be happy.

How many times do I have to say I don’t want Larkin. Let that sink in. Wings fans blame Larkin. Isles fans blame Barzal. Neither is completely true and neither is completely wrong. I would trade both players to retool as I don’t see either team in the playoffs next season.

Many of us who want to trade Barzal are saying we wouldn't make that trade, so you should be happy.

I'm surprised....nice to see guys thinking sensibly for a change. No trade...no trade involving Barzal should be for any player 30 yrs old. The best place for us to move Barzal is if we do, is Montreal, Utah or Chicago (especially since Bedard has a friendship with him and stated he would love to play with Barzal).

The only way we should trade Barzal is if we get a young ready to step in prospect like Hage and their 1st+ and draft the Ruck brothers. Sleepers.

Hey, if DET trades away Larkin maybe they'd be looking to make another trade to acquire a C to replace him.

The question is, would they consider Barzal an upgrade, downgrade or lateral move? What do you guys think?
