Roster/Rumors/Speculation/Trade Talk - 2025-26: Welcome to the Darche Side

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
JR doesn’t care what the cost of the trade is. He cares about getting paid and what team is paying him. He effectively has a NTC clause bc his hand is ‘I’m not signing with you’ which shrinks the available market significantly. Teams are not going to trade for a guy in the offseason on try before you buy basis.
You don't think other teams can beat that offer you proposed?? 2 1st rounder (mid-rounders) and Duclair for a signed Robertson. I think you are way off.

With some of the smoke around Barzal, it might be that Montreal have been offered Barzal and checked in on Horvat instead to see if he was available instead of Barzal.

Its quite possible that Montreal have Barzal and Trocheck as options and are deciding which direction to go for 2nd line center

Or Isles said, Barzal is not being traded, and they then asked about Horvat, and they said, No.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m a huge Horvat fan, I’m so happy the Isles are saying no to teams trying to get him from us.
I like Horvat too but we don't really know who is saying "No" here because Horvat has a full NMC.

Barzal and Pelech for Werenski and CLBs 1st plus whatever else. ($15M+ gone)

Trade Isles and CLB 1sts and Duclair for a signed Robertson. ($3M gone; $13.5M for JR).

That’s $18M out; $13.5M in. Use $3.5/4M of the $5M on AJ Greer.
Robertson turned down $15 mil a year to the Krackheads lmao

Uh-huh. They probably asked about the Canadian Olympic player that played with Suzuki, not the one that didn’t even get an invite.

Or you have no interest in playing for a Sabres 2.0.

Amongst the non-playoff teams, Is it just the NY teams along with Detroit & Vancouver the only teams not to have made a deal? Might be a reason we struggle every year to get into the playoffs, management seems satisfied with our roster

True. With only the draft, free agency, and three months to go until next season—we’re really running out of opportunities to change the roster.

With Robertson turning down the Seattle deal. It's obvious it's not about the money but wants to win. My guess he could turn up in Buffalo, SJ, Utah....Maybe Chicago

No shot at Florida, Vegas, Minny, Carolina
