Roster/Rumors/Speculation/Trade Talk - 2025-26: Welcome to the Darche Side

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
ahhh, sorry forgot about STL
My guess is Nashville.

McFarland likes to trade, they need some new blood in that lineup, make a splash, and it’s ‘trendy’ place to live.

For the hometown CA: LAK is a dead end. ANA Verbeek ain’t paying him that money and he’s a bit too slow for how Q wants to play. SJ could be an option, doubtful, most SoCal people want no part of NorCal and vice versa.

How about a sliding scale on how bad each teams Tax Base screws their population who live there?
It would help Canada.
Not sure how the socialists would do that

I'm surprised about the Blues. They have a really good group of young forwards too.

Probably his first two priorities are based on years 1-3/4. (A) do I have a chance to win, (b) do I like for whatever his reasons are the destination.

STL doesn’t meet either of those.

At this point it's stupid.....Since they don't or can't sign him. He should just give the a list. Dallas is hurting themselfs now. This getting out, they have no leverage with other teams.

If the Schenn trade winds up being Darche's biggest blunder, then it's safe to assume that time will show that he had a pretty good run as GM for this team. I consider it to be an ill-advised trade, but the histrionics around here regarding that deal are WAY over the f***ing top.
That's a big IF. The pattern, resigning JPG, trading for Schenn, paints a picture of the worst is yet to come.

I know. All those dozens of posts every day, day in day out, defending the Schenn trade....

As for a person being known for their biggest blunder, I remember when McPhee worked for the Isles and people didn't want him as our GM because of the Erat trade, and then he got the job in VGK and won a Cup and made them into perennial contenders. But that Erat trade - man, we dodged a bullet there.
Easy to Monday morning QB, no? I can't judge Darche on what his future looks like, only what he's doing now? I mean, WTF, I should cut him some slack because you think future Darche is winning a cup? I'll cut him some slack when he makes smart moves...

There's just as many posts about defending the Schenn trade as there are the Schenn trade....so not sure what your comment is supposed to mean. And of course there is an uptick in the talk about it with the draft approaching and the fact we gave up a draft pick for him.
