There are so many vulnerable teams/GMs to take advantage of. Darche just needs to offer up ANY of our vets.

Alas...He's trying to buy and is going to add himself to that "vulnerable" crew and hurt our franchise in the process.

Relax. We can’t do anything until we re-sign our aging captain long term.

Not an earth shattering move but the defense for Buffalo is deep. We need a young Right shot defender. I’d see if I could pry Maxim Strbak from Buffalo.

this isnt a political chat but can we not act like she hasn't put a big *issue* for players coming here?
For the wealthy, absolutely. But while I am all for improving the team, I'm even more for taxing the wealthy. That said, wrong forum for this, so I'll leave it at that.

If 4th overall just gets you Byram, and 9th overall just gets you W. Eklund...

...Then 13th overall would only get something like Jordan Martinook.

Better to KEEP the pick.
These moves are very telling about what GMs think about the high-end talent in this draft.

It is incredibly rare to see a pick in the top 10 get traded, and now we've seen both the 4th overall and 9th overall picks move in the same week. With the market set like this, I'm not sure a pick like the 13th overall gets you very much on its own anymore. I hope Tynan Lawrence falls to us at 13, and if he does, we should just make the pick and call it a day.

Buffalo absolutely made out like bandits tonight. Not only did they land the 4th overall pick to add to their draft capital, but grabbing Louis Crevier in the process is a massive win.

Just hope Darche picks a direction and sticks with it. No more of his in-between crap that gets you stuck with the 13th pick and limited cap space/flexibility

Reilly looking to move back west.

Gonna guess Vegas MIN EDM and COL are the initial teams.

He’s likely going to need to expand that list.

Or...

Some GMs are not that good at their jobs.

Feels like both Staios and Davidson were under some serious pressure to land players now....And when you're under pressure you make bad decisions.

I'd bet almost anything that several players drafted 9th or later will be better than W. Eklund long term.

@doublechili do you think STL takes a Rusk brother at 11 to tell the other teams not to take the other one? Or waits 3 teams and goes for them at 15/16?
IDK, but I would think they'd take them with consecutive picks. Pretty decent chance they'll both be available at 15/16, no? Actually, who the heck knows.

That's the Meddling I think that's going on... "You gotta be competitive while you retool!" maybe the thing the owners are saying
