LOL I am thinking Pelech for a nice return but that's just me.They need some vets. They can have Engvall and Duclair for future considerations (that they don't have to consider).

Fans always envy the rebuilds and the contenders…
The NJD looked sexy once upon a time, then the GM filled them up with crap.
Sharks D right nowAs per puckpedia San Jose has $46M of cap space right now. $19M below the cap floor.
3 Isles targets traded today -
Kyrou for McMichael, 16th OA, and Milton Gastrin (2nd round pick last year)
Islander version-
Kyrou for Holmstrom, 13th OA, and Daniil Prokhorov - PASS
Eklund and 2 prospects for the 9th OA pick, great move by the Sharks to get back into the top 10.
Nemec was not being traded within the division, especially not to the Islanders. Nice move by the Flames, who have plenty of picks, and all of those #1's are other teams, not theirs.
* 2 Stanley cups!!!Eklund+Kyrou+Nemec = 0 Stanley Cups
Pascal Dupuis = 1 Stanley Cup
27 OA for Pelech and Engvall.Exactly, what they do... Take Stenberg at #2 and grab one of Verheoff, Smits, Rudolph, or Gustafsson at 9. They can then trade 27 OA and 62nd OA for Pelech or a Dman to help them next season.
Assuming a bounce back year from the Panthers I can see 5 teams from the Atlantic making the playoffs. I agree the Metro isn’t great after the Canes. So I would think Darche is trying to make the playoffs while retooling. That would seem possible at the moment pending other moves.I do - Metro is weak outside of Carolina
See, that’s 3 failures for other teams compared to Josh Bailey’s sparing partner.* 2 Stanley cups!!!
HAHA! Yeah, I was SO wrong! What happened to the totally non-eventful offseason you were predicting....?
That was a terrible draft. I'm guessing the GMs who traded those picks to Milbury knew that.![]()
I would prefer to trade Pelech but thinking along the same lines as youSharks D right now
Orlov
Dickinson
Kesselring
Mukhamadullin
If the Islanders want some more picks and give a facelift to this blueline, now is the time to trade Romanov's deal before NTC kicks in next season or capitalize on Pelech's current value and get that 27th OA, 62nd OA, and possibly a B prospect.
Let me introduce you to Pelech and Mayfield.I like Romanov for his hits, but my God I don’t there is a player with less offensive instincts in the world
You forgot to include Palat…
maybe but pretty sure people were saying the same thing last year. Heard it on NHL network all through the early season..Assuming a bounce back year from the Panthers I can see 5 teams from the Atlantic making the playoffs. I agree the Metro isn’t great after the Canes. So I would think Darche is trying to make the playoffs while retooling. That would seem possible at the moment pending other moves.

And I guess more madness to come.
It might still be quiet for us, though
Pelech and Mayfield may not produce a ton, but they can at least jump into a rushLet me introduce you to Pelech and Mayfield.
Can we agree that all 3 are bad offensively. I think we are splitting hairs on who is worse.Pelech and Mayfield may not produce a ton, but they can at least jump into a rush
Romanov looks like a deer in headlights when asked to do anything remotely close to playing offense
Two of them stink defensively tooCan we agree that all 3 are bad offensively. I think we are splitting hairs on who is worse.
I’m having whiplash seeing the “we need to rebuild!” comments and then reading “what is Darche doing? We can’t run it back when other teams are improving!”. Talk about a forum with issues lol.
Move Palat too. You’ll be ok without wearing the Satan jersey with a duct taped nameplate this year. If we move Palat too, we can finally give David Toews that shot in the lineup he deserves. If we get rid of Duclair and Engvall this offseason I'd be happy to keep Palat.
