Now we have Klingbergs to go with Karens
The dope that used to live next door called me a Karen once because of my disdain for the 3 dogs chronically barking non stop all day and after hours when my wife and kid were theoretically supposed to be sleeping

I fixed the problem by reciting my grocery list to her in no uncertain terms. On said list was rodent toxin

Miller re-signing with Van is great news.

This Isles team DOES NOT need any more players that have their best days behind them.

Dodged another bullet!!

Would be great if Lou could find a way to snag Connor Garland at some point - maybe next summer...possibly sooner.

Canucks are over the cap and need to re-up Horvat next summer, so Garland may be the odd man out between now and then.

Patrick Kane of course.
I'm sure I'm in the minority but I hope the Isles never get Kane. Just like many didn't want Quenville for moral reasons, I feel the same about Kane. Too much shady stuff in his past. My opinion is that he's a bad seed and I hope Lou values his vaunted culture and team/family atmosphere over Kane's talent

Yes, I'd rather lose without a guy like that than win with him.

Sorry for those who I offend or who feel I'm a bad fan but it is one man's heartfelt feeling.

The Islanders need to start doing one of two things:

1.) draft better
2.) pick up these high skill players who need a change of scenery. Think Duclair, Bennett, Grabner. Not guys like Hickey and Scremp.

I thought his conduct cleaned up with sobriety, but I'll admit I don't know that much. At any rate, there aren't a whole lot of Pat Lafontaines out there, unfortunately (great, unbelievably humble athletes).

I'm definitely not upset at not getting JT Miller. Let's see how he does as the Pacific becomes as competitive as the Metro. I think he's the same 60-70 point flawed player he was a few years ago, just playing on a mediocre team in a bad division.

???

Miller would the team’s best forward AINEC for the next 5-7 years…
I doubt that.

I think in a tight conference like the East he would never have the gaudy stats he has in Vancouver. On the Islanders Miller would just become another 60 point player and we'd be wondering "is that all he's got?"

Yeah, yeah I know on the Isles 60 points makes you a team scoring leader.

As I understand it (and I've talked to NHLers), the end-of-the-year meetings ALWAYS include a list put together by the staff detailing exactly what they'd like the player to work on during the summer. Weightlifting and fitness are the most key components of that list.

But one has to think that the teams may even assign their players to skating instructors if there's room in the budget.
Thanks for responding. My last point on this topic and I will drop this rant. I am all for drafting and developing players and am realistic and wary about UFA's joining this team. This team needs to find their talent mostly in the draft. I was hopeful for Beau and Wally in possibly being that elusive skilled winger.

I asked about offseason regiment- skating, personal trainer, nutrionist, etc. I have always strayed away from trading players like them due to their potential and stressed patience. With that said, I may lose it if they show up to camp out of shape, disinterested, go on long stretches of disappearing during the season. My fear is that they don't have in between the ears. (Trying not to nit pick just on our young players, many vets disappeared last season)

I hope all players respond to Lambert and feel some responsibility, guilt, and shame on BT being fired. This team plays better when they have a chip on their shoulder and don't lay down for anyone.

Enjoy the long weekend

One of my college buddies is a sportscaster in Chitown and he tells me Kane "has never been an altar boy" although the criminal behavior and allegations seems to have dissipated since 2015

Aside from all that, the guy will be 34 in November and I'm not sure the price he will cost is worth the addition.

No doubt he is a hall of fame great player. Personally I'm just not a fan

Hope your doing good man. Always like the chats!

Love the paragraph about Trotz and coming back with a chip. Behind you there 100 percent!👍
