The Fourth Period it would seem.Who's linking them James, you?
Nichols works for TFP.The Fourth Period it would seem.
Edler would be a solid option. He's still a good player.Any thoughts on Alexander Edler as a UFA signing as LHD for the 3rd pair? This is assuming he'd take a pay cut and maybe sign for 1 year.
Dekeyser? Murray?
There’s no basis this person has any knowledge of anything. Yet, tweet away and people pass it along as ‘info.’Who's linking them James, you?
would be better than leo komarovNoNo Niederreiter
Ugh this would be the epitome of a bad signing
I’ve been thinking that AZ would want to move Schmaltz and/or Keller. Both players have long contracts with more money than cap space due.OTT blogger speculating that AZ is trying to trade Clayton Keller instead of Chychrun. He mentions an OTT offer of their 7th overall, a 2nd round pick, a prospect and a contract to AZ.
He also mentions some unhappiness on the part of Connor Brown.
but we want to do something. you can't keep living like this and say "well we won't get so and so" just because. we need to make a splash at some point, even if it is for a guy like Forsberg or gaudreau or even Nino. Give me someone who gives our scoring core more helpWe do this to ourselves every year. We make these big long lists of ideas of FA's and Trades and when it all goes down, most end up staying where they are or going to 'more desirable' locations than here. Then we're left being relieved we signed Nino Niederreiter and Andy Greene.
We'd better draft that player, because you can't force a free agent to take our money.but we want to do something. you can't keep living like this and say "well we won't get so and so" just because. we need to make a splash at some point, even if it is for a guy like Forsberg or gaudreau or even Nino. Then lets try to for once, because im tired of losing out to NJ or the rainjuz or Philly. For once, I wanna see someone in islanders blue and orange, proud to sign with us.We'd better draft that player, because you can't force a free agent to take our money.
Alright so there goes any idea of getting nuke or lehky damnit, and Girard is too damn small also. Isles really need to get something for once, but it all starts and ends at LHD. If we don't improve LHD, we are so screwedChecking other boards:
- Avs may try to sign Nichushkin and Lehkonen, and use Kadri's money to go after one of Copp or Trochek. They likely will let Manson walk and trade Girard for a forward or goalie if they can't resign Kuemper at a reasonable contract.
- Kraken fans are not keen on trading Dunn as he is their best PMD right now and has improved much in his 2nd half. They will need to hang on to him as there is very little available in the UFA market for top-pairing young PMD this summer.
Isles has to be super aggressive and fast in the UFA market this year and should try to land someone still in his prime instead of nearing over the hill. Still, they need to be careful with the term handed out so the contract will not handcuff them down the road to resigning their best players. Isles has too many vets now and need to balance the team with youth and vet. It is a long season and injuries will incur so you need to prepare to have the young players being capable of stepping up and contributing to a successful season.
No matter what trades you make, do not give out the 1st round pick unless it is lottery protected. The league has become too competitive, if you end up having a bad season due to multiple key injuries or underperforming from key players, then you may be in the Bedar sweepstake territory and he looks like an elite future NHL star to me, better than anyone on this team.
Palat really excites me tbhI really like the 1st 2 options. Dont love the last 2. The more realistic option is choice C where we get nothing
Sounds like Lou
If only this were Groundhog Day. Then I’d say sign him. Play him 8 minutes a game on the 4th line for 10 games and then send him to Bridgeport.NoNo Niederreiter
