We are going to get Guentzel and Karlsson
for Blake, 1st, Morrow, Pono and a 2nd.
Guentzel and Karlsson retained to be under 9 million total.

I think there would be a third piece in a deal for Guentzel, likely around the level of Blake. Probably also a third prospect in lieu of a second. Pono or Suzuki?

I'm starting to hear the drum of impending disappointment. It's growing louder and louder like a war song and soon it will arrive at our door steps as it does every trade deadline to ravish our hopes and dreams.

That's a ton of cap space freed up to now launder trades for other teams and pick up a 3rd rounder and 4th rounder tomorrow. Psyched.

I am as well. I don't see the benefit to any of the discussions that have been happening surrounding TDA the last few weeks. Unless he's truly just made it known that he's actively unhappy and doesn't want to be the 7D going into the playoffs, it makes no sense to get rid of him.
Feels like the type of thing where he either gets claimed or traded and then the first game after the deadline we lose a defenseman for the year.
That said, very reasonable outcome would be that all 3 clear.

Well, I guess the positive(?) is that we can probably keep TDA around for cheap next year seeing as how nobody bit on him for a 5th at 50%…
