Florida is trying to load up but leads the league in points. Would be interesting if adding Tank and (hypothetically) JG backfired on them. Obviously they have a good thing as it is.

If team isn’t going to go all in then WTF in keeping both Skjei and Pesce.

Sell ‘em & Accumulate more blanking draft picks so you can compete at divisional level for next 10 years.

We got lucky playing devils and islanders. Once we met a good team they crapped out in 4 straight.
Lol. So now we were lucky because it doesn’t fit your pity party

Where does the pride in getting swept come from? Top 2 and 3 in the league a few years in a row and that's the end result? How is that satisfactory?
Sweet we get to go around the carousel again because of a trade deadline. Spending big at the deadline doesn’t alter your chances of winning the cup very much. Like a couple of percentage points. Sometimes your guys score 2 goals in game 7 or sometimes they are non-consequential and you don’t make it out of the first round.

Domi did more for us to win a playoff series in 22 than Tank, Kane, etc did last season for NY and other teams.

Anyway this deadline was shaped by another ineffective offseason. I hope we don’t get Guentzel and find a player that can contribute for 2 or 3 years as next seasons team looks worse.

Ineffective offseason? We wanted the management to improve the team and they did. Who did we miss on?

I am sorry I just find the complacency startling. Do you think that mindset got Vegas, CO, their championships?

You think it’s their trade deadline that won them their cup? It wasn’t the fact they had near unlimited assets to afford Eichel, Stone, and their other trades. Add in Hill played well above average

We have tried to do the same thing as Vegas. The ironic part, Vegas doesn’t do expensive rentals either. They get guys that will extend or use their assets for long term assets

It's not complacency at all. They simply find offseason transactions better value because they can get full seasons of evaluations. What's different from Vegas vs. Carolina is that Vegas is more comfortable with swinging on large UFA contracts and sign-and-trades to upgrade their team.
