Center and a rw would be my picks, but I'd still have to look at the best player available and if they were much better than a positional pick. We can always deal for players with prospects if the upside puts them on another level.

The Joey Keane for Gauthier trade is perfect evidence of dealing from a position of excess for a position of need. RHD's in particular hold a lot of value in trade.

Let's say by some miracle Jamie Drysdale drops to 12th or 13th overall where we are picking. I take him and run away giggling like a school girl. I see the Rangers going a little less sexy with the other pick, though. Someone like a Jean-Luc Foudy who's a safe bet to be an NHL'er but may have capped upside.

Totally rad idea. Would be nice when the city comes out on the other side and figures this crazy shit out, and we're all ok, to do that. I think that could be a monstrously uplifting thing if they actually did it in all sports.

Agreed on the pipe dream part but let's say it happens does that mean teams like Detroit and Ottawa get a crack at the
"playoffs" and still get to hold on to their very high draft position? I mean what if a team like LA (who was playing well) won a round or two do they still get to draft top 4/5?

How are they gonna consider where the Cut off should be? Would have to be a play in kind of deal. I guess there is no fair way to do it if we can't fit in all 82 games. If 24 teams are in that means the cutoff would be at Montreal
