Could be but you would think someone like Kravtsov would show up to camp and put his best foot forward.
And again, if he thinks that his best foot forward is coming to camp, and then getting into 100% shape. That could be exactly what he did. He may not be getting the best advice.
Simply conjecture at this point though.

Today’s Media Availability. Adam Fox, Chris Kreider and Coach Gerard Gallant.

Once again, they need to check their practice facility for mold. Are they going to wait till GG is rushed to the hospital.
Cause and affect.

There are at least a dozen players (most have been mentioned here) that are likely available and would be helpful to the Rangers. While I'm sure Drury has his favorites, he is evaluating the price benefit of everyone. That's what happens at this time of the year. When he hears something he likes, he will deal. No question in my mind.

The Panthers don't have their 1st and 2nd round pick in this draft. They acquired Reinhart and Bennett with those picks. Besides Spencer Knight, they don't have much to trade? Lundell is already in The NHL. Elliotte Friedman keeps mentioning Florida and the Avs with Giroux.

If they Flyers want close to NHL prospects over picks which I believe Friedman said a while back they do have a few options. Tippet, Denisenko. Not sure if any teams are high on Sourdif (3rd round pick) or Noel(2nd round pick) could also be options.

The Flyers want near ready prospects for G, not picks. They are going to try to redo this thing on the fly.

They have been looking at D Drew Helleson from Colorado, currently in his 3rd year at BC. Do they like anyone in the system for Florida? Matt Samoskevich was their first rounder last year, 23 pts in 31 games at Michigan as a Freshman. He's a RW.

I see what you're saying, but considering what Philly wants to do I think this will come down to the Flyers scouting of each teams young players and not so much the draft capital available.

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek were discussing the Leafs prospects and JT Miller today. Elliotte believes the Leafs have enough prospects to make that trade. Matthew Knies played for the U.S. Olympic team. 2nd round pick in 2021. Topi Neimela. 3rd round pick in 2020. Miller isn't a rental but he can walk in one year. Those players were selected by John Lilley who is now the Rangers director of scouting/director of player personnel. Lilley and Chris Morehouse will be running the Rangers draft.

Elliotte discussed the Stars looking to re-sign Pavelski. The Stars believe the player wants to stay in Texas. Elliotte said Pavelsaki wants to stay there. He is receptive to the Stars interest in extending him. Pavelski is a key member on their line with Robertson and Hintz. Pierre LeBrun spoke to Nill a few days ago. Nill said Paveski's family likes living in Texas.

He's barely played though.

Yeah but mostly at his own fault. He was the one that kept running back to Russia and didn't want to face any adversity.

His value is practically identical to Lias'. Lias was traded for a 60th overall pick. My initial comment was that Krav wouldn't be traded for much more than a 3rd rounder - which is was Lias was traded for, a very late 2nd round pick.

People here thought Lias, for some reason, could bring back a late first or a middle six forward. I can't recall any reclamation project struggling 22 year old forward who clearly has problems with adversity getting traded for a middle six forward. Maybe a middle six AHL forward...

If that's what the kid really thought, he needs to fire his agent immediately.

Corey Pronman mentioned Helleson yesterday in his most likely prospects to be traded.

Drew Helleson, RHD, Colorado
Helleson is a strong prospect — a big, mobile, right-shot defenseman who can move the puck well enough and make stops. Defense is a position of strength in the Avs organization, even with Bowen Byram’s health issues. I expect teams will be calling for former late first round pick Justin Barron or Helleson in a potential rental deal for Colorado, with Colorado likely preferring to move Helleson. I don’t think there’s enough NHL interest to build a deal for a premium rental around Helleson by himself, but I could see it being done with a high draft pick.

The Avs don't have their 1st in 2022. Helleson and a #1 pick in 2023. Add another asset. Later pick or another mid-level prospect. The Avs are not trading Newhook for a rental. Some of these teams don't have much to trade. That is why all of these Vancouver fans keep coming back to the Rangers about Miller in trade proposals.

Is that enough for the Flyers and their fans?

Corey wrote some nice things about Lundkvist. Not so nice things about Vitaly.

Vitaly Kravtsov, RW, New York Rangers
Kravtsov’s value has plummeted after being a top 10 pick in 2018. He still intrigues some NHL personnel because of why he was drafted so high — he’s a tall winger with fantastic puck skills who can make plays versus pros. His skating and his compete level are real flags though. I think he’ll find a new home eventually because someone will roll the dice on the talent package and hope they can make it work, but I don’t expect him to fetch a significant price.

Nils Lundkvist, RHD, New York Rangers
Lundkvist is the name listed here, but it could very easily be Lundkvist or Zac Jones for the Rangers. Both are considered strong prospects who can skate and move the puck well and provide offense to a lineup. On a strong Rangers team with a blue line that is controlled for a while there likely isn’t going to be room for both of them and Adam Fox in an NHL lineup, especially with the emergence of Braden Schneider this season. Lundkvist’s season hasn’t gone as hoped after his great years in Sweden, but I do believe there is real NHL interest in this player and he makes the most sense given how many right shot defensemen the Rangers have.

The Rangers should be able to get a quality return for Lundkvist.

Vancouver wants Schneider.

I wanted Ann Margret when I was a kid.

I don't disagree but why pay to acquire Martin Jones? Is he better than Kinkaid?

Oh i def agree on not needing a backup. Kinkaid actually played really well for us in the games he started last year. He is perfectly fine as a backup. Geo though needs to be moved. We are not keeping him and should get what we can for him. that 3rd and 4th rounder can be used to bring in some 3rd line reinforcements
