Gourde the longer term option for Panarin
Kakko gets his fellow Finn and he can drive that line while also shutting down opposing teams top units

Then from 2015 -2017 they also chose a dman or lw with 17 of their 18 picks. Barzal was the the only non LW or D taken. And he was tbe first pick of that stretch.

and basically only him and beau did anything of note. Really odd drafting.

Why would a GM ever look at things as a ten year window when it is highly unlikely he will still be the teams GM in 10 years? Only 4 current GMs have been around that long in their current position.

Isn't it normally? I think they only pushed it back this year because there's so many games in April. We've still got 19 after the TDL which sounds about right

Drury has had hits and misses like every GM but we’ll be able to more properly judge him after the trade deadline with how the pieces he adds upgrade the team for the playoffs

If he had just listened to me it would have been 100% hits

Friends with Zibanejad, too.

I've posted on here before that he's the guy I think is much more likely to end up a Ranger due to cost (as a pure rental) compared to someone like JT Miller, who will cost a ton.



If memory serves me correct, Zibanejad actually changed his stick and/or the curve on his blade a few years ago after Rakell sold him on it.
