Coach/GM problem more than a player problem in my estimation.
We get it. You don’t like Drury

We would be lucky to get Caufield for Nils (plus). Getting him for a guy (that has proven zero) that has refused an assignment given to him by his team seems like a pipe dream to me.
Could be if Lehkonen-Goodrow-Blais suits your fancy. That's a pretty balanced third line.
Rangers didn't qualify him. You're being silly.Yegor Rykov is on the Rangers reserve list. Gorton can have him too. Bobrov knows him very well.
I don’t know WTF the plan is with him tbh. He’s certainly showed he’s capable of playing responsible NHL hockey, has size/style of play that’s suited well for the postseason, and is better then some guys we’ve been playing in our bottom 6 currently.
He’s either part of the solution/future, or he’s not. They have to get him a spot and minutes.
If they aren’t going to do that, why the f*** is he on the taxi squad and not back in the A?
Where he’s proven to play well for the better part of 2 seasons already....
I don’t know, maybe Gallant just really favors vets on fwd with having kakko/LaF/Chytil all being young in the top 9?
But sooner or later, he’s going to have to make a choice.
It looks like he’s finally realizing that Jones-Schneider gives him the best 3rd pair he can put out there....

Not according to CF.Yegor Rykov is on the Rangers reserve list. Gorton can have him too. Bobrov knows him very well.
If that is the Montreal hill he wants to die on awesome for us.Maybe Gorton like Kravtsov more than caufield. Kravtsov is his guy after all.
Also, it's perfectly OK to have your goalie be the MVP of the team on a contender/cup winner. Happens historically often in the playoffs.Guy, you keep proving my point with your examples don't get angry at me for that. You first showed me a time where an elite goaltender couldnt bring the cup all by himself who then won with an elite team in front of him, and then you started talking about a team that won 3 cups without relying solely on an elite goaltender.
The point is that this team needs to be more than the goalie, and the team needs to play better in front of him in order for them to have any chance of winning when it matters most. Stop with the hyperbolic "weLL jUst tRadE IgOR THen" stuff because that's not the point. Elite goaltending alone doesn't win championships. It's great to have, but that alone doesn't get you there.
He’s the same age as chytil. Older then LaF/kakko.Barron's problem is that he doesn't have enough grit. Too young.
They won't let him into the lineup over Hunt, Rooney, Reaves, and McKegg.
It's kinda stupid if you ask me.
Yegor Rykov is on the Rangers reserve list. Gorton can have him too. Bobrov knows him very well.
Of course you, I and we would. Thing is Montreal would not, but hey if it comes to fruition good for us.Both Caufield and Kravtsov have warts at this point as prospects. While I wouldn't trade Kravtsov for a rental that I don't think moves the needle, I would trade him for another lottery ticket of similar odds.
Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Kreider
Panarin - Strome - Kakko
Othmann - Goodrow - Chytil
Lehkonen - Barron - Blais
props for GG keeping Jones-Scheider as the third pair. I was sure he would put Nemeth back on the third pairing with Schneider but Vince reporting nemeth-Hajek as the 4th pairing in practice today.
Rangers didn't qualify him. You're being silly.
Probably notAnd that's all well and good, the question will be does he stay with them when they inevitably have a hiccup or two.
Absolutely, that's not my argument at all. But he cannot be the only reason. When he is, you get Giguere or Hextall. Also, it's perfectly OK to have your goalie be the MVP of the team on a contender/cup winner. Happens historically often in the playoffs.
I shit you not, Tampa’s goalie was voted the MVP of the entire playoffs just last yearAlso, it's perfectly OK to have your goalie be the MVP of the team on a contender/cup winner. Happens historically often in the playoffs.
