That's not really a good thing....we all know the boards can barely handle 1 trade that breaks, can you imagine multiple trades breaking every hour?

Call me crazy, but I’d want more for ADA than Byram. Avs are hoping Byram develops into ADA.
It's so far fetched, but Gorton dealing Kreider for a premium and then bringing him back July 1st would be one hell of a move.
so while we keep hitting F5 waiting for nothing to happen...assuming kreider won't be here, who takes that top 2 LW spot? internally i'm not seeing many options aside from moving one of kakko, buch or kravtsov to LW. and not just talking the rest of this season...what are the options going forward? aside from drafting #1 of course lol

I’m kind of surprised at the overall lack of moves so far.
It'd be wild if the Rangers traded Kreider and then re-signed him, I think most players hit UFA and it's too hard to pass up the chance to get as much $$ as you can. It'd be shocked if that happened.

I know there is the non-analytic based crowd, but the eye test and the analytics are lining up.
Of course there are moves to make, but the team has been on a good run the last two months and progression is being made internally.
Losing Kreider and Fast will hurt, but there is a chance that, depending the return, good hockey and winning could continue without these guys around.
If they do re-sign Kreider and keep Fast, I'd say that this current squad will give teams a run for their money the next 6 weeks and getting in is a distinct possibility

On the other hand we have two more small offensive RDs (Fox, Lundkvist) and we desperatly need a two way top pairing LD (Byram will probably meet these expectations . I know in case of prospects with 0 GP in nhl nothing is granted but the risk would not be high imo). Moreover we would free up plenty of cap space.

I’ve been advocating for this for weeks now. It’s rare that it happens, but the Rangers current situation is a good opportunity for it. Get some assets now. Use those assets plus others to upgrade the roster in the offseason. Use the next couple of months to maneuver out of the cap crunch.
Also true...people want to keep minimizing what DeAngelo is doing for some reason. If Byram booms then yeah maybe he's a better player than DeAngelo and becomes more of an all situations guy who puts up points, but seriously people need to stop and think about the fact that DeAngelo is on pace for 60+ points. How many years would we have killed for a 24 year old defenseman who puts up those numbers? How many times have we said "oh the Rangers need to draft/trade for a young PP QB who can light it up from the blueline!"
And now they have one...you hold onto that player unless there is some wild reason you can't keep him
Buch & Kreider are not happening. That is way too much production for a team that wants to contend next year to trade away.
