Not that I’m necessarily advocating for it, but isn’t that kind of the point? Lias doesn’t really have value right now, so I’d trade him for another change of scenery dice roll
That’s why I wouldn’t even be trading Lias until he raises his value again. Same reason Edmonton is smart to hold on to Puljujarvi. Sell high.

Watching last years ncaa final on ESPN U and Richards looks pretty good.

I was being sarcastic. I do miss when they had Jagr on these Rangers teams

Staal really hasn't been the same since he was destroyed by his brother. I think the puck to the face was bad, but he was still a positive impact on the team after that.

It sucks how far he has fallen, because he was a damn good defenseman for almost a decade

I agree he’s been struggling at times. But people on this board disrespecting the guy is a joke. I’ve been watching since 1975 and
Staal has been a top 10-15 Ranger Defenseman imho. He and Girardi were at one time our top pair.
He’s suffered some tough injuries and always gives his best effort. Model citizen as well. That deserves respect. Calling the guy crap our a scrub is ridiculous. I want to move toward youth as well but there’s no need to be disrespectful to the guy. He’s been a very good Ranger.

Yes, that was basically my point. I am no fan of Staal, but when someone calls him a scrub, I get the feeling they didn't watch him play before 2014

I agree with you. I don’t think I can name 12 or so Ranger D men that have been better than Staal since 1975?
Not counting this years team.
Leetch
Park
Zubov
Mcd

Staal /Girardi

Buekeboom
Beck
Routsalinen
Greshner
Klein
Stralman
Maloney
Laidlaw
I’m sure I’m missing a few.
