Right now, of course. But starting the NHL peak Corona is not an option.

Just saying, at the start of this thing, available test KITS was an issue, it’s not really anymore. Those things can be really mass produced. Brooks seem to think that it is. Why aren’t everyone tested then? This only has to do with HUMAN resources. 15 minutes of human labor per test, it will take 60 professionals a week to test 10,000 people. Either you need to develop automatic screeners that can test people really fast, or devote an enormous amount of personnel into “testing everyone”.

Testing all NHL players is a non issue. It’s the same as many high security prisons testing the guards every day. They have a doctor and nurse on site, they can perform the tests easily. Available tests is no issue. All “doctors” arent working at the ER. These guys are experts on sports injuries. But I am sure they can learn the lab part of it and run the testing EASILY.

Although I still don't see how restarting the season after months off makes a lot of sense. Any rhythm that was built throughout the course of the season will be lost. You're asking the playoff teams to basically start from zero again.

i believe i posted “Not sure if he would be as comfortable or productive yet he’s saying something we like.”

It’s not like we have much news besides a virus or this wind today

Am I the only one who can't see AK driving a pick up truck? I see him driving like a hot hatch or something like that (this is meant to be complimentary if it doesn't come across that way)
 
You'd have to be incompetent to not take the 2+3 for 1

Lafreniere is pretty clearly the best prospect in this draft, but the gap between him and Byfield isn't big enough to risk passing up on another bluechip prospect.

Having Byfield and Stutzle/Rossi/Drysdale would be insane

Dave Gettleman wouldn’t pick up the phone . . . unless apparently he wanted a soon to be free agent.

As of today and based on what i’ve read, I would make the trade for the #2 and #3 available players unless somebody says either of the #2 or #3 guys fell off in development or Lafs took off to leagues above the other two. Byfield and Stutzle is a lot though.

The quality vs quantity argument for draft picks doesn't really apply to the hypothetical of 1OA for 2OA+3OA. I'd understand it if this was like....15OA vs 17OA+high second round pick

Lafreniere is not THAT far ahead to be worth more than a pair of Byfield/Raymond/Stutzle/etc.

In fact, there are a fair amount of drafts in the last decade and beyond that 2OA+3OA instead of 1OA would be worth it.

Any other year, you just go with 2+3. If we just go by favourable picks based on who went top-5:

2007: Kane or JvR+Turris
2008: Stamkos or Doughty+Pietrangelo
2009: Tavares or Hedman+Duchene
2010: Hall or Seguin+Johansen
2011: Nugent-Hopkins or Landeskog+Huberdeau
2012: Yakupov or Galchenyuk+Rielly (Damn, that was a bad top-5)
2013: MacKinnon or Barkov+Jones
2014: Ekblad or S. Reinhart+Draisaitl
2016: Matthews or Laine+Dubois
2017: Hischier or Makar+Pettersson
2018: Dahlin or Svechnikov+Tkachuk

Lafreniere...the next French-Canadian superstar, elite skilled winger, can do it all, one-billion QMJHL points.

This sounds like bust potential to me. I can totally see a thread 10 years from now on the main boards titled "Whatever happened to Alexis Lafreniere?"
