so more than half of the guys on your list are expensive old guys that aren’t very good anymore and you think teams want to replace them with another expensive old guy that isn’t any good anymore?

I don’t
I didn't say they'd want to replace old guys with another old guy.

I was pointing out playoff teams with worse goaltending than Lundqvist would give them. Whether the teams want him or not is irrelevant to the point I'm making. I'm just saying he would be an improvement in all of those scenarios.

My point overall is that he's still good. He's not elite or anything but he could still be a good goalie on a good team.

Columbus just lost Bjorkstrand for 8-10 weeks with a fractured ankle. Brutal

torts hockey just isn’t conducive to long term health. Freak accident totally but that team has been gutted with injuries. No way they stay in this thing. Have lost 7 straight.

I'll keep saying it, Columbus is beat up beyond belief, the Islanders can't score goals right now and we have Carolina sitting in front of us tonight. If tonight is a win, why not us? I don't see anything from those teams that tell me the points can't be made up.

Tough schedule? Yes, but we've beaten good teams this year too. We're not beating the bad teams enough, but the skill level and the goaltending level that we're getting now with Shesterkin is prime for a streak.

The top 3 in the Metro is likely the three teams there now.

Florida isn't inspiring me and Toronto putting it together for 1 game doesn't make me think they are past the defensive issues.

On top of all those other things: the Rangers are the one team that doesn't really have to make it. Columbus is probably the other exception due to their injuries at this point. All these other teams have made moves to get in and expected it when the year began. They have the pressure, the Rangers were supposed to miss. The most dangerous team is the one that has nothing to lose and that team is the Rangers.

Well no it’s absolutely relevant because that’s what my post you replied to was saying.

That Nobody wants him even if he wanted to go.

and frankly I don’t think he’s an improvement over any of those guys. More a wash than anything. Bobrovsky has been downright bad I’ll say that.

Another thing on Kreider I promise you it hurts Mika’s game to lose him as well. There’s a real chemistry there that has made Mika a better player as well. It hurts our powerplay BADLY as well. Maybe even more than anything.

it’s not just losing the individual talent it’s that he actually does make the players around him better

1st is in the package too, so I think that takes Boston out of the running and I'm fine with that. Their system isn't as enticing as others.

Or maybe they got word Kreider is staying

.
Boston is the only team I would see him possibly resigning IF they cleared space. Colorado knows he is purely a rental and has no interest in paying a premium price. I’ve been saying this the past few days. It’s not about me just wanting to keep him. If the trade was a slam dunk then by all means trade him but I don’t see it
