I, very surprisingly, actually heard what can best be defined as quite the contrary rumblings today to Bus Stop Uncle Larrys tweet. But - no Harrisburg, Chernobyl, Fukushima meltdowns now, Please. But I put together the Two different given views, not a direct quote. Still, it is not out of the question Our HoFer might be on the way out. Pride is a mortal sin You see...

Big move? Contradicting Brooks? Nuclear disaster references? Life and morality lessons? This is the pinnacle of deadline rumors.

Good point on that, but you have to think of it as this. Skjei is young, cost controlled, and may benefit from a change of scenery bc the current def scheme is def not working well. Georgiev is good, but i dont wanna trade him bc of hank. I want to trade him bc we have tyler wall whos going to be in the ahl and huska. A good def will make the goaltenders more elite. If u rlly wanna add, it works, bc you get a star from a team filled with too many, and in the same regard u get a lot of pieces to shore up your team. I think it works. Especially if strome is gone.
The whole point of moving Nylander would be the cap benefit, and Skjei + Geo’s raise won’t create that much additional space.

If Nylander is moved, I think it’ll be for a player like Byram, Fox, etc. (Not that I’d move Fox, but a young stud dmen on his ELC).

But who would trade a stud d man on an elc for Nylander? I personally wouldn't...

Ok. I give you permission to PM me everything you know. I’m cool like that.

One or the other. Trade was most likely according to one Guy. I am naturally a bit sceptical. He knows I am on these boards. But was still very adamant. i seriously do not know.
Are we talking about potential movement prior to the TDL or more likely in the offseason?

I just feel like this summer we either address a trade for a winger or a center and prob on gortons lift is a top pair defenseman to make skjei expendable. Nylander was just an example. Who would you guys target?

it doesn't leave extra cap space but there is a cap benefit if you are improving your defense and goaltending by reallocating your cap usage better.

Maybe Edge has some insight here? Gorton is cooler than a glacier. It appears. I personally think This may be somehow established between the parties in some form of gentleman’s agreement. Hank does not think he is done himself. That is for sure.

He’s 23, signed for 4 additional years with 2 60 pt seasons in his resume. He’s about to have his 3rd, producing close to a PPG this year with 52p in 59 games.

He’s exactly the type of player you do move a young stud dman for if you need help offensively.

I believe the Rangers preference is, and remains, to go with Shesterkin and Georgiev.

There is definitely tension in the Rangers-Lundqvist relationship right now. I think the Rangers are hoping they don't have to buy Lundqvist out, but I definitely do not think there is a fear about doing so.

Eh, while the points are great he plays wing. Generally, we would see a center moved for a defenseman. That's why a player like Skjei, who is probably a #3, makes a bit of sense as Nylander, while valuable, isn't a center and isn't a superstar himself.
