Shannon must have gotten a text from Sather to put that tweet out

Good point. Getting a great return for CK is very appealing. But then, where are we? Get another FA forward? Probably a higher price point. There’s really no one internally ready to step up. They’d probably have to backfill CK’s spot with the CK trade. Not easy. It’s a legit question.I guess where we differ is, I don't think he's as replaceable as you think and trading him without a suitable replacement makes this team much, much worse next year. They're back to being a one line team with two good centers and not enough wings to contribute. Need more than Panarin and Kakko.
It’s John Shannon. Of course he knows.Ugh?? So you think he’s aware of the Rangers goalie situation? Sounds like he’s lost and needs to do his homework
It’s John Shannon. Of course he knows.
(I think you need to do your HW on who these guys are. Shannon knows slats. Shannon has ranger sources)
You guys are reading the tweet wrong. He’s saying ‘yeah I know there are all these rumors about Georgiev being moved. But why are they moving a potential young stud who could be their #1 next season, just to move him to make things more comfortable or something?’

Dude. You got as much a clue to what they’re doing as I do.ugh, yeah. Something tells me the Rangers aren’t going with 3 goalies b/c they have one stud with no plan
Good defense regarding the shake! So they brought out the ShackMeister again, which is their burger with fried shallots, Shack Sauce, and cheese. I eat like a fatass, so mine was a double, with a side of cheese fries. It feels like it's about 25 out right now though so I did convince myself to skip a shake.
That's not accurate. It's more about moving Buch to keep Kreider. Maybe that's not how they see it which is fine. No one here knows how they see it.
But it's more fun talking about this than it is talking about Anderson asking for a trade or Hank waiving his NMC.
BS... I get my price for Geo... this isn’t Ranta or Talbot.the 3 goalie system and everyone knowing that we need to move a goalie no doubt is hurting his value but the expansion draft has zero impact. we'd have no issue protecting him with Hank a free agent and Shesterkin exempt. I don't think Mirtle actually took the time to look it up and is mistaken
Has John Shannon been living under a rock?
Dude. You got as much a clue to what they’re doing as I do.
I’m sorry I responded. I’m busy catching up on the thread.
Let’s go rangers
People aren’t saying ‘let Kreider write his own check’. In fact I’d say virtually everyone who wants CK back adds the ‘reasonable deal’ caveat. Our best players today will not be our best players forever. I can’t fathom how you have zero concerns about committing 50M for a 29 year old.
The contract will be fine for the few years - but happens in year 3, 4, 5 and beyond?
You say we have a lot of money coming off the books which is 100% accurate, but you turn a blind eye at the fact that we’re going to have a lot of players that need new contracts.
Hank can make 8.5 watching games next season.
The #1LD is more important than nylander. (And resigning Kreider) We’re going nowhere without one. Everything is fools gold until thenAnd I think that's why there's some...hesitation... internally to either get locked into too many immovable contracts, or why there's been some hesitation to further explore the Nylander talks that they've had off and on for a while.
not sure how often or ever are rumored trade offers confirmed. Dreger and Mirtle discussing it today.
like I said If that’s not even enough in Jeff Gortons eyes then we’re really not trying to trade Georgiev
Up until this season I liked the Swedish kid Johansson more. But the combo of an abrasive feisty decently skilled forward who is a Finn feels like a good fitRangers have liked Kapanen going back to McD. If he's on the table, I'm sure they are listening.
Personally, I'm not as high on Kapanen as some, but that's just me.
Lemeix + or what Pepe will become next year. But we need more of that and he might rub off competitively on kakkoI think he's a good player, who brings energy, but I've never quite been as sold on the offensive ability as some.
I think his production is probably a little inflated in Toronto, and he's probably more of a 15 goal/40 point player than he is the 20 goal guy from last year, or the nearly 50 point player he's pacing at this year.
I think he's a good support player, I've never quite seen as him as a second liner on a really good teams. But as a useful third line player, maybe alongside Chytil and Lemieux, there's some intrigue there.

I don’t think anyone would seriously consider trading Buch for just a 2nd, except for that nevergetagoodpost dude.Buchnevich is a guy that, I think, is going to figure it out and when he does we’re all going to lament trading him for a 2nd rounder or whatever he’s going to get.
Eh, this was my stance for a long time, but he's coming up on 25. I think he's likely around what he's going to be. And I have no issue with what he is.Buchnevich is a guy that, I think, is going to figure it out and when he does we’re all going to lament trading him for a 2nd rounder or whatever he’s going to get.
