Arizona has for sure been tied to us with potentially looking at getting Kreider. Now, if we can read through the tea leaves, the package would be centered around a u25 player.

Could be smaller or a 4/5 piece swap. If there is a player that was not mentioned that I'm positive the Rangers have been interested in for a while is Galchenyuk. I believe I did read that we were looking for a 2C. Well Galchenyuk checks a lot of the boxes. He's 25, been a player of interest for a while, a high pick, and an UFA after this season. A calculated risk.

Arizona has quite a few centers. Stepan, Schmaltz, Keller. Coyotes flipping Galchenyuk for Kreider? Nor sure what a bigger deal would look like. Maybe that 14th pick is in there somehow

I think any deal involving Kreider for the 14 makes tons of sense for both sides. I do that in a heartbeat. But i have a feeling the deal alluded to today involves Kreider if it goes though.

I haven't read all 23 pages but I've probably read most of them and Galchenyuk is the only player I've seen that I'd be upset about

This screams Bennett.

Bennet is someone that they are disappointed with for a 4th overall pick, but they "love" the guy.

Think bigger.

Who's the upgrade the Rangers have though?

E: could also be Neal if the upgrade is Kreider, just from thinking that Calgary doesn't have much room on the wings

Good guess. But it's a great contract(s).

Neal makes sense too.

I'm sure they are with Neal. But the frustration with the other player involves a lack of willingness to do something on the ice. Some fans have turned sour on him, Neal... Didnt have any fans to begin with.

If Arizona is the team in question maybe they are talking Clayton Keller? We know the Rangers were really high on him back at the draft

Hmmm, is it Jankowski? For some reason that was the name that popped into my head before Bennett or Neal, but I don't feel confident in that at all

E: Unless @Ola 's dream has come true and it's Curtis Lazar

Probably Monahan but that would obviously be something huge. A lot of Flames fans have issue with him supposedly "coasting" and not playing hard and the like.

We can't be talking about Gaudreau, could we?

I've heard whispers that some within the Calgary organization are questioning his commitment, but that almost sounds too far-fetched to actually happen.
