He's probably talking about Zibanejad/Monahan. Someone from the Flames board came in here a few months ago suggesting something like that. However, I don't really consider that an upgrade for the Flames and Monahan has the better contract by virute of it lasting an extra year.

They wouldn't trade their first at the deadline either. Just cause they like a guy doesn't mean they can afford the guy.

Last I checked, GMs dont make over the top trades unless they are getting a haul back.

They mentioned we want Calgary to add to what theyre offering and they dont want to, so what sort of 1:1 swap would be an upgrade for Calgary but not for us.

BTW I think this is entirely unrelated to what BBK and Edge were talking about today.

Also, in a post from a day or two ago, @Edge said the Rangers have been talking to Arizona, Buffalo, Colorado, Dallas, Edmonton and Vegas. He's also said that Kreider, Buchnevich, Vesey and Namestnikov are players the Rangers are getting calls on. That should bring everyone up-to-date.
