If we trade Strome and trade for Eichel next season will be hard. Chytil will probably be in Buffalo and we wont't have a 2nd line center, and a 3rd depending on the way they play Goodrow, for at least half of a season. Not good for a team looking to make the playoffs.

Why is Strome for Gourde not a fair deal???? Strome has killed it and is perfect for the Kracken. And if you add the 15th pick for Gio with retention for the 15th pick isn't fair. A 37yr old rental. Now I know Strome a rental as well but still like 10 years younger. Sign Coleman and then more trades need to happen assuming Eichel is in the house. The issue is krieder then because you can't stuck him on the 4th line so only way it works is you don't reunite the line entirely.

Laff-Eichel-kakko

Bread-Zib-Kravy/Coleman

Kreider-Gourde-Coleman/Kravy

Barron/Rooney-Goodrow-Blackwell

I know Goodrow 3.6 4th liner but the other 2-3 make peanuts and you could really put out 4 crazy good lines well balanced.

Just dreaming? Or am I?

Whether these trades happen or not, I've been saying it for a while now, the Rangers are simply going to do whatever they can (within reason) to win a cup while Panarin is here and deal with the ramifications of the aftermath

They’re abandoning a successful rebuild though. I knew they couldn’t see this thing through. This organization will never change.

Morgan Barron can fill in somewhere at C for a while

Our 2nd line C becomes Mika Zibanejad next year. That's pretty f***ing good if I do say so myself.

Obviously yes we need a lil hockey god luck so injuries aren't a major fault

oh wait a minute f*** I re-read that and it's kinda true. I just hope Eichel isn't as injured as being told through media

If you can get eichel without nils or vk than yes Larkin costs more. And again, you can't extend Larkin now, all you can do is have a handshake deal, but if he has a big season he will look to cash in and that agreement might as well be toilet paper

Why couldn’t they extend him after though?

Eichel's contract ends the same year as Panarin's and Trouba's

This is what I’ve been thinking and they deal with the ramifications after. They prob bridge everyone available for it but Fox and maybe Laf

Also LOL at the meme 11/10

I have my reservations on Kuz too, but imagine we could get him to turn it around?

I said it before that as long as Sather still has a place here he will run the show. He should have been shown the door but he's half way up Dolan's intestines

They could for sure. My point that I'm trying to make is everybody's talking and absolutes like if he gets traded here he's absolutely resigning here. That's just not the case. Like I've said multiple times The only thing that you could do would be to have agreement and principle but it would not be binding at all until he's actually eligible to sign an extension. Technically the team isn't even allowed to negotiate an extension with him until that window opens. So he comes here, And they think they have an agreement and principal even though they're not supposed to be talking about it and he goes out and has a monster season playing with panerin then who cares what they even came up with because he's going to be wanting to cash in. And then you have these posters on here saying that he'll stay here just because the team has a great chance to win and they're out to lunch. Players don't act that way right now with the cap flat guys want to cash in during their window to make money. These guys are going to get getting killed and escrow and you guys are out of your minds if you think a player like him isn't going to try to get every dollar that he can get during that time. It would be his last big contract for his prime years, he would be looking to get paid. And again the only reason this came up was because I laughed at people willing to empty a lot of the bank account to try to get a guy that's a UFA in two years when they're unwilling to pay to try to trade for a guy like Barkov because they want to wait one year until he's an actual UFA. It's just hypocritical

It’s frustrating. All they had to do was make the Kreider trade at the deadline. And move Strome for futures now and we would be a perennial powerhouse. I was hoping to build a dynasty not shoot for 1994 2.0

I'm resigned to the fact right now the echiel is going to end up for the rangers for better or worse. Even the insiders that normally say that they have information from the rangers have made it a point to say that they haven't been able to get as much out of the people they know since Drury took over. I don't think that it would necessarily be leaking out right now if he was working on it. Also nobody around here knew anything about goodrows rates getting doubt or about the howden trade other than edge sharing that Vegas liked him. That doesn't mean he got that from the rangers organization is the guy apparently seems to have ties around the league, and could have easily gotten that info from somebody with a tie to Vegas
