It’s frustrating. All they had to do was make the Kreider trade at the deadline. And move Strome for futures now and we would be a perennial powerhouse. I was hoping to build a dynasty not shoot for 1994 2.0
Trading guys who accounted for a significant portion of our offense would make us a perennial powerhouse?

I have to know... what is your definition of powerhouse? Buffalo Sabres powerhouse or Arizona Coyotes powerhouse?

I mean I dont think the Rangers are "abandoning the rebuild" totally, They still have those players, its just now they probably want them to be those young cheaper players you have when you're trying to become a contender. (Of course this depends on who is still here)

prospects are great, but parades are cooler.. If the Yankees made the Cole trade when they could have and won the WS it would have been worth it alone even if those players turned into stars for years

but the Rangers might just be trading away Strome, Buchnevich, a 1st round pick or two and a good prospect. They're not emptying the team to win just this year no matter what they do

Btw who’s dog did Strome kick or something that no one wants this guy?

Mollies article says like no one is interested in him

i guess I’m more concerned with the Strome for Gio deal creating a short window for us. Which I think is scaring me of and Eichel deal cutting through our prospect pool.

I dont think Drury is going to do anything too crazy, Rangers have ALOT of prospects and NHL players to make a deal without crippling the future of the team.

We are 20th Century Fox making a new Spiderman franchise every 8 years. The origin story is some disgruntled, elite forward demands a trade. Then we run around for 3 months in denial that we will trade for him. The 3rd act is the actual trade and we convince ourselves that we will definitely win a cup before the franchise is re-booted. I won't spoil the ending. I'm looking at you, Dumbledore guy.

Buffalo fans are off their rockers but they do seem to think Buffalo would want forwards/picks because they have "alot of young Dmen" (no idea if true or not) so maybe they wouldn't even want Nils

If Eichel comes in they’re both going out.

I'll add that to the list of reasons I don't want him.

Lundkvist will hurt, there is no doubt about that. He's gonna be a top pair guy with Dahlin in BUF

Chytil will never even be 20% of what even an INJURED Eichel is. I love him, and enjoyed watching him be drafted and develop a bit, but you'll easily forget about Filip if Eichel is a top tier superstar on Broadway
