Gourde had a great season and playoffs. Namestnikov also looked pretty good with Tampa.

Nam looked good playing with Stamkos (pre suck) and Kucherov.

Gourde looked great playing with Coleman and Goodrow. More than a slight difference in QoT.

Plus he isn't coming off of just one good playoff. He's coming off of two of them. He's way more versatile than Strome.

Plus if we want to play that game, Strome has looked pretty good with Panarin. How about the rest of his career, minus 9 games this year?

Jumping from 15-10 is probably worth a pick a pick in the 20-25 range (Help me out here @Amazing Kreiderman .) Is Strome really worth a whole lot more than that?

Remember, the price of jumping from 15 to 10 is not the same as jumping from 20 to 15.

Sillinger or Lucius would be the more likely available guys at 10. Mctavish is probably a top5 lock.

Exactly right. 15 to 10 is definitely worth more than an early 2nd, and I’d peg Strome’s stand alone value as a late 1st early 2nd.

I’m fine getting a center. Resigning a veteran winger with all these younger and more talented wingers, who will command more dollars, seems fiscally impossible. Want to keep Buch? Fine. Find a new home for Kakko.
