Mouthpiece: We aren't getting anything close to what we want, but we pinky swear we aren't gonna fold.

Yeah, we'll see about that.

Hey, two NHL Players - Strome and Buch - and two "top" prospects/1st round picks - 15OA and Jones.

Meets the criteria.

Do it.
I’d trade Strome, Buch, Jones, and a 1st for Jack Eichel’s head and Jack Eichel’s torso & lower body for sure.

seeing on Twitter people are saying Friedman saying it’s NYR or MN for JE on his 31 podcast. Anyone listen?

Yeah, it's true, but he also mentioned that there could be bluffing by teams supposedly not interested.

Friedman also mentioned that St. Louis and Nashville were interested in Buchnevich. He also poo pooed the rumored Horvat for Buch deal.

Panarin - Strome - Goodrow
Laffy - Zibanejad - Kakko
Kreider - Chytil - Kravtsov

Goodrow is here to protect Panarin. Excited to see what the kids do this year! I think we are going to have a tonne of 50+ point players next year.

Powerplay:
Laffy
Panarin-Zibanejad-Kakko
Fox

Let's go GG.
Yep lets keep our best net presence (CK) off the power play. You need someone to go in front of the net to cause havoc. Right now we have all guys that would rather play on the outside. Its hard to score goals when the goalie can visibly see everything. You need to add some net presence to all this skill otherwise we will be doing nothing but circling the net.

Also, regarding Eichel..... someone in the last thread said "What would Aho or Barzal have done on Buffalo the past 6 years?" in regard to comparison with Eichel.

And I actually do believe if Barzal or Aho had been on the Sabres for the last 6 years, they might have at least had 1 playoff appearance, which they didn't have with Eichel.

Again, it's not that Eichel isn't fabulously skilled or that he doesn't put up PPG or more stats. He would qualify for both of those things.

But what I haven't seen from him is the drive to win, to sacrifice his game and offensive stats, if necessary for a win. Which I believe, just using my eyes, is something both Barzal and Aho do for their respective teams. And part of the reason why their teams do so well, aside from being talented teams. Well, in the case of Barzal, it might not be so much talent as chemistry and good coaching, but either way.

I still stick to my Tavares comparison for Eichel. Great talents, great stats, great fantasy players, but questionable drive and ability to carry a team towards a playoff spot in the NHL, And unless a player can do that, I am not sure if the Rangers need them. We have enough pure talent as is. We need to find chemistry and the drive to win games. So I don't see it being a wise option to a) trade possible future, star prospects and b) Pay top dollar in salary, against the cap for a center that doesn't bring those winning qualities.

I could be wrong about Eichel. But I don't think he's proven me wrong YET. Tavares on the other hand, has shown time and time he's just not the type of player to push or carry a team on his back. And I wouldn't want to pay like 8-11 mil a season for Tavares either. What we really need on this team now is a John Toews type of player, not necessarily a guy who can put up 90 points a season, but a guy who will do his best to make his teammates better and do his best to get the win. And that could come in a less spectacular, less prolific scoring type of center. Which shouldn't cost us as much in a trade or against the cap. People mentioned Larkin, and maybe he could be that guy. But if I had to pick the ideal center I think we need right now, it would probably be Bo Horvat. A player I would absolutely love to get. But likely zero chance the Canucks would trade him for anything reasonable. Schenn might be another one.

And I see a bit of that mentality I think in Dvorak. Who also seems a bit underrated if this thread is any sign. All though he probably wouldn't be at the top of my "we should trade for them" list. Similarly, Danault or even Gourde. If we want to be thrifty. Larkin might be good, but can't see Yzerman moving him now after he's become captain. Might even consider like, Ryan Johansen if we could get him at a discount. It's kind of all relative to the price we would have to pay though, as usual.

I'm looking forward to the sheer devastation some Sabres fans are going to go through on Friday with the crackhead expectations some of them have.

They'll get a good young roster player, they'll get a high end prospect, they'll get their 1st round pick...

I don't think they get a whole lot more beyond that. Maybe a conditional pick based on how many games Eichel plays next year because I'm still pretty f***ing positive that the neck gets operated on after he is traded, which means that who ever gets him is not going to see him for most, if not all of 2021-22.

What is the source that says the surgery will keep him out most of '21-'22? I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I haven't seen that info myself.

1) lots of bluffing
2) JE wants a fresh start wherever he goes and not gonna be a problem
3) Tough for Minni to convince him with all their dead cap space and his heavy cap hit
4) Drury is the stealth guy. Rangers are in it.
5) Basically, that's all.

I’m guessing because he STILL hasn’t gotten any kind of next surgery and it’s almost August. But if he goes the 3 month then he would be ready prob by November hypothetically

I don’t want Eichel but this is absurd. Eichel is easily a tier above Barzal and Aho is on a much much better team

So just minny with us thrown in to raise Guerin's take it or leave it offer.

Buff might as well shelf him, let him get fixed, maybe he's back and can prove the risk before the tdl next season or get full value (whatever that is based on his rebound) back next summer.

Eichel is a falling knife right now. No one with half a brain is risking the long term cap hit or assets, the others who are in it are sharks looking to eat Adams alive with rightfully low-ball offers. There might come one dummy willing to sell their top prospect and picks for a walking mystery box, but God help the fans of that team if that GM does. Hopefully it's not us.

I’d trade Strome, Buch, Jones, and a 1st for Jack Eichel’s head and Jack Eichel’s torso & lower body for sure.

Yeah but then there's that minor issue of his neck surgery and the possibility of him missing most or all of this year. I stay away. It's just too risky.

no one is going to clear him to get a disc replacement (which is what he wants.)

a regular discectomy has a recovery time of 6-8 months. If he gets surgery in August, we’re looking at a February return at the earliest and more likely, March or April.

Barzal gets benched PLENTY for his effort away from the puck so it’s not just Eichel. And I’m completely against this Eichel move.

the one thing I do not know is if Mika has no desire to actually give a hometown discount akd stay. If he’s planning on going to market regardless of all the pc stuff said, then I understand the desperation to find a legit 1C. If Mika wants to stay on a 6 year deal he should be signed period
