Look at every cup winner in the past 5 years.

Not a single one didn't role a 1-2 punch with 2 #1 Centers.

Drury knows this
Cirelli isn't a 1C. Neither is Brayden Schenn. You need a 1 C and a really good 2C tho. But most of all you need a big , heavy, deep d-corps and some really excellent grinders, along with some clutch goaltending.

Lets get back at Tampa and trade for Yanni...sign Coleman along with Barclay..Tampa North..3rd line

Part of the reason that line was so effective was because they collectively made jack shit in terms of cap allocation. I like adding Goodrow. I could even get behind adding Gourde. But that other wing needs to be on a ELC.

If Seattle winds up with Gourde, Soucy, and Compher - could be one stop shopping for us - Strome/Jones gets it done? Trade Buch for young C ready to break through next year

Laf Mika Kakko
Pan Gourde/Chytil Krat
Krieder Gourde/Chytil Goodrow
Compher Barron Rooney

Lind Fox
Miller Trouba
Soucy Lundkvist

St.Louis rolled a dominating ROR-Schenn pair and Tampa has been using the buzzsaw of Stamkos-Point to run teams through the ringer

We NEED Eichel-Zibanejad

It's as dominant as dominant can get
Eichel’s injury problems doesn’t concern you?

In fairness his lines have consistently driven offense and won the shot differential BY A LOT

Thats because of Panarin. Great strome can put up points but so can anyone with the breadman. Thats all strome does. A top 6 center needs to be legit a beast on offense or needs to be able to actually play the center position. Strome, does not do this. He plays like a winger and cant take faceoffs. Im sure as hell not paying him 6m + per a year on a redundant piece.

Yeah, just get Tampa's 3rd line at double price, and Tampa only had to be... tens of millions over the cap to manage it themselves!

I’m not rehashing this debate again but I’ll just say that Panarin has had a couple of his BEST seasons playing with Strome. Perhaps they just gel and play well together?

or he got away from CBJ and was given a system in which he wasn't absolutely stiffled? I dont argue that you want to give him a right shot because that seems to work well, but he put up great numbers with mika as well.

back to Dvorak, so maybe my offer was a little high but he would still make a good target. Has a good contract signed, he's young enough to improve, good on face offs, solid defensively from what I remember.

He's about a 40 point guy right now, you put him with Panarin, he's easily getting 15 to 20 more.

Looking at the protection lists and the tool on CapFriendly, Seattle has a TON of options, especially for RW. Voracek, Dadonov, Donskoi...Gauthier may not be so appealing depending upon which route they go, but he could also be a cheap bottom-6 add.

There's not a lot of great options for LW. I see Niedereitter, JVR, and McCann that could be of interest.

I'd almost assume they go for Blackwell for the utility, but I guess a lot can change very quickly.

You’re not convincing anyone here. All you keep doing is posting the same nonsense.
Convincing? Who said anything about needing to convince people on here? We can all kind of see what Drury seems to have been quietly and patiently crafting in the back corner. He's going to do something huge soon and if it's not Eichel for whatever odd reason then expect it to be someone big and out of the blue

The likelihood of any team giving up a top center (unless they are strictly rebuilding) is pretty remote. a 2C is far more likely (unless it is Eichel).

I actually really don't want Vince Dunn.

The fact that he has never been used to kill penalties EVER is a huge red flag to me.

We need penalty killers on the blue line. Lessen Fox's PK responsibilities.
Vince Dunn is basically what Zac Jones is supposed to be

Yeah Drury is gambling that Kraken take Blackwell over Gauthier

I mean, with his usage he hasn’t gotten a lot of chances to score goals
I think it’s more he isn’t considered reliable defensively and has taken some dumb penalties often

Offensively he has done what people would want of him considering usage I think
Also, people talking about how the Rangers "feel" about him seem to be forgetting that damn near the entire coaching staff and upper levels of the FO just got wiped out. We have no idea what they think beyond the fact that they protected Rooney over him, which was the purely logical decision, even though I personally would've protected the guy with as-yet-undeveloped upside.
