Tell that too a few people in here who think that everyone is out of shape lol.

If you want it for analytics, they need to hire a coach who will actually use them. Drury is actually about them (or at least he says he is.)
Reminds me of an argument I had on here in like 2017 or some shit.

Somebody: "If I had Kreider's talent, I'd be a Hall of Famer. He doesn't work at it at all."

Me: "Kreider dead lifts 500 pounds. You are 500 pounds. I see the confusion but that's not the same thing."

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Certainly helps that they have a 20 year old goalie prospect helping carry the team in the AHL. We'll see where both guys are in a couple years.
Are you that optimistic about Garand? Would be awesome for us to have him be a cheap option for like 7 years out of nowhere

What to do with the goalie position in 2 years is not a front burner issue for me personally, but I certainly like that Garand is making an impact and getting better as his first pro season moves along. I'm sure Allaire's fingerprints will be all over his development too.

Fox didn't even debut until the age Kakko is now.

If you told people before he played that Fox would own real estate in the top-5 of the Norris voting, they would have put you in a soft room.

Even if you said that after his stellar rookie campaign, that would have been a blazing hot take.

I agree that the current youngsters don't look like stars but a lot of stars come out of nowhere. They're not all lottery picks.

I don't think he'll be a STAR star, but Sykora's gonna be one of those long-term gritty glue guys that can actually play the game and not hurt a team. Kid is made for playoff hockey

Wolfpack has lots of lesser profile prospects/players. Which are Rangers Management seriously think have NHL future with the Rangers?

Everyone ahead of Fox in this graphic plays a fairly limited role.

Nobody puts up the analytics or the counting numbers that Fox does while being asked to play the role he does. Not just now; I can't remember anybody.

He's not Brian Leetch. He's not anybody. He's the first Adam Fox.

Well put. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. He doesn’t check any of the athletic boxes people typically look for in elite defensemen.

Speed? Nope
Size? Nope
Physicality? Nope.
Hard shot? Nope.

He just has a brain that’s large enough to be classified as the 8th continent of the world.

Ya'll gonna be pretty disappointed when we roll basically the same team back we did to start the season minus some replacements for the holes in the roster from Kane, Tarasenko, Motte(maybe) and Mikkola leaving. It's going to happen but a new coach with a new vision of how this team plays and whats important for the long term success of the team may be enough to get us into a playoff spot and another trade deadline pick up or two.

This is the team we have. It will be on them to up their game with a new coach. They are as talented as any other team. Watch NJD/CAR and tell me we shouldn’t have beaten these 2 like many expected.

If the Rangers don’t win the Cup in the next couple seasons, it won’t be for lack of talent, it’ll be for lack of heart.

I see no reason this team won't make the playoffs. They played both Vesey and Goodrow in top 6 spots for most of the year and Harpur as 6th D and easily made the playoffs. I see the roster being better to start next year.

It would require the talent actually being what the name on the back of the jersey says. We've talked about Panarin's struggles. I think it's fair to say Lafreniere and Kakko aren't their draft pedigree and we don't know if/when they will be.

I agree. Capfriendly agrees as well

Same here, just commenting on everyone thinking they'll trade Kakko or Lafreniere this year. This team will have the same core going into next year, hopefully the next coach knows how to use the players to better foster the young players develpment. I think either Jones or Robertson takes a spot, Cullye too, maybe Othmann but personally id prefer he start in Hartford.

Time will tell

He's having a good playoffs so people are bullish on him right now.

But I want a full consistent season in the AHL before I even start thinking about that. I wanted Wallstedt
Same here. I was so disappointed when they called Othmann.
