Barron played a full season for the Jets last year? We've failed to draft an NHL regular outside the 1st round since Igor in 2014.
I've thought this out and there are no holes to be poked. Both teams are butt cised to initiate the trade call. Only assumption I'm making is that Chicago isn't on Goodrow's no trade list.
Goodrow and a mid round pick for Tyler Johnson.
1 yr @ 5 sheets
I see you haven't played 8D chess before....So how does that help us? We get a worse player for a higher salary.
buy out Johnson after and save 3.1 and the 3.6 from Goodrow lol.So how does that help us? We get a worse player for a higher salary.
Are all arbitration awards 1 way Contracts? So someone explain the point for Scanlin to go to arbitration?
He has elected arbitration. The odds that he actually gets to arbitration is extremely low.So someone explain the point for Scanlin to go to arbitration?
I don't think so, but I'd need to check to be sure. I'd imagine he's hoping for a 1-way though. Are all arbitration awards 1 way Contracts?
I don't expect Dolan to be this in deep as to why Gorton and JD were fired, but Gorton took over starting with the '16 draft. From that moment, Morgan Barron is the only non-first rounder to do anything in the league. Oddly enough his best class might be his last (Berard, Cuylle, Garand). We've failed to draft an NHL regular outside the 1st round since Igor in 2014.
Geezbuy out Johnson after and save 3.1 and the 3.6 from Goodrow lol.

He wants to be in NY. Take advantage of the market suppressing salaries. Trade Goodrow and Re-sign Tarasenko at a bargain. Give him a 1 year deal and let him test again next offseason
I watch every game. He can be maddeningly lazy at times. He remains the best ufa signing in franchise history.Do you look at more than just the total points?
His 5 on 5 play has declined every year. He turns the puck over way too much and he has become a perimeter player who doesn't backcheck consistently.
Look at the numbers I posted earlier in the thread:
Roster Building Thread VI (2022-23): Offseason edition
I would have drafted Laff and Kakko 1st and 2nd along with everyone else. Unfortunately, the Rangers “lucked” into the top two picks in back to back mediocre drafts. Now with hindsight do I pick them 1st and 2nd overall? Absolutely not. Do you? A lot of luck goes into these picks. And...forums.hfboards.com
Actually watch him play and you will see it. He puts up points because he is talented and gets the most ice time of any forward on the team, both even strength and on the PP. That doesn't mean he's playing as well as he should be.
Logan Cooley was mentioned earlier in this thread (about a 100 pages ago LOL); he elaborates on his future with the Arizona Coyotes organization:
I believe so but Cap space has a massive premium. IT'd probably cost at least our 2nd rounder for a 1-2 year deal.Hypothetically…if a team signed Tarasenko could they turn around and flip him to us at 50% retention?
