The Tarasenko switching agents thing is weird. If they’re just waiting for Ottawa to clear cap why wait? They have 10M in cap. DeBrincat isn’t signed but it’s pretty much inevitable he’s being traded per reports.

I know. Gritty, sandpaper, all that stuff. This team also lacks snipers. Natural goal-scorers. That's why I was excited when we acquired Tarasenko. We had Panarin (who often sought to pass first rather than use his laser shot) and Zibanejad (who preferred to distribute and whose shot was mainly used on the PP). Tarasenko gives us that goal-first menality.

Yes, I'd absolutely dump gritty, two-way Goodrow for Tarasenko. With Vesey, Bonino, Pitlick and maybe Balzile, why is Goodrow at his bloated salary necessary? Nice player and he's certainly a positive in the lineup, but his cap is f***ing gross. Not his fault. It's Drury's.

We are right in the middle. When the season ended and counting Kane and Tarasenko on the roster we were 14th out of 32 in team age so average.

I’m just saying that, historically, 1OA wings seems to be a sure thing star player. Given how relatively unimportant the wing position is, you have to be so, so good to get 1OA consideration. I don’t know if the Rangers got unlucky or what. I do know that it sucks.
