I'm not trading Schneider unless it's an overpay. He'll likely never be a top pairing dman, but you need defencemen like what he can become to win, especially in the playoffs. I'd rather trade Lindgren.

To make the comparison fairer wouldn't you have to include the acquiring of Trochek, Taraseko, Copp, Vatrano, Motte and Goodrow; and the re-signing of Chytil, Fox and Shesty to great contracts?

Regarding the option of trading Schneider; we are all planning to trade Trouba the moment his NMC turns to a NTC, but the front office might not look at it that way. If they plan to keep him around getting 11. or 14. overall is a good price if they do not see a spot for him in the top 4 for several years.
