The Bobrovsky contract is going to end their Cup window before it begins. 10 mil for a rich man's Georgiev when you had Spencer Knight waiting. Him having multiple Vezina's and Hank only having 1 in the same era is a black mark on the NHL

Minnesota definitely has some players that could help us in a Kravtsov deal, but i think the priority for the NYR should be keeping Copp & Motte around

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek discussed Copp and Lafreniere. Elliotte said Copp isn't 100% and he is like every player who is battling some injury at this time of year (after 11 playoff games). Copp got injured against the Islanders in Elmont. He tried to come back and got hurt again. He hasn't appeared to be right since then. They said Lafreniere is raising his game. This playoff experience should help him next season.

Question on the league calendar, when does it begin? July 1?

For example, regarding Minnesota, Zucc has a modified NTC (10 team refusal list) that kicks in during the 2022-2023 season. Does that mean that come say July 2nd, Minnesota could move him and his 6M salary?

If you package a 4th or 5th with Nemeth for some team to take him, someone will take that deal. It might be what it takes.

I hope that's "all" it takes. Would rather not trade the Winnipeg 4th rounder we have (we traded our other 4th rounders for Vatrano/Motte) but if that is what it takes so be it. Need to get his money out of here.

I think he honestly may retire and go back to Sweden (like Kevin Klein years ago). Lots of personal stuff with him all year, and he just had another child. Or maybe they find an injury and LTIR him so hes still entitled to his salary. I dont think moving his cap hit will be all that difficult one way or another.
