Deal 1.
Filip Chytil and Nils Lunkvist to Buffalo for Casey Mittlestadt, Mathias Samuelsson and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Chytil is better that Mittelstadt, already signed to a deal, and is coming into his own after a very strong postseason. That would be a downgrade. Samuelsson is basically the same type of player as Robertson. We don't really need to bring in that type of player when we have someone like him in the system and is relatively close to playing. UPL is not going to get moved IMO. He's probably 1A or 1B for Buffalo this season. Adding Nils serves no purpose, especially with Deal 2.
Deal 2.
Brendan Schneider for Alex Newhook
As a standalone deal, I don't think the value is that off. My question is why does Colorado make this move with Kadri most likely gone by pricing himself out, and on top of that their C depth becomes MacKinnon-Compher-Meyers-Bowers. Newhook likely fills in at 3C next season, unless they are signing someone to replace Kadri.
As for the Rangers, I'm not sure you want to move Schneider for a center. You do need to give up value to get someone like Newhook, but I think Schneider plays a big role on this team next season. His minutes are going to go up. He'll be on the PK more. Gallant is going to want to manage Fox and Trouba's minutes better in season so they can roll for hopefully 20+ games in the postseason.
Deal 3.
Patrik Nemeth and a 3rd for Tyler Johnson @50%
Deal 4.
Resign Justin Braun
I think this is most likely trade and signing out of the 3 moves. Johnson I think is cooked, but maybe the time off recovering and not in a long postseason is helpful, but his numbers when he rejoined Chicago's lineup were not good. Has the winning pedigree, has played in a ton of big games. Not sure where Nemeth plays in Chicago, but I'd guess if they get an extra mid-round pick for Johnson, who they already got with a 2nd attached, is enticing enough for a rebuilding team. They also have tons of cap space, so the 2.5M over the next two rebuilding years isn't going to hurt them.
