ADA has been given a bum rap for too long. i think his attitude and jersey shore shtick works just fine.

he seems well liked, has an engaging personality on and off the ice and seems to be easy going and fun off the ice. I've yet t to see anything that needs to be "healthy scratched" out of him.

the more i see this kid the more im shocked hes not punching babies and stealing money out of the salvation army bucket.

bum rapp.

If big Tone can improve his defensive play we'll have a gem of a player. Hope he goes into this offseason looking to beast it training-wise.

With a salary cap in place a rich organization like Rangers needs to spend as much as they can to obtain some of the best coaching staffs both for NHL and AHL and some of the best scouts amateur and professional. Are they doing this? I do not believe so.

The play by play and color commentators could also use some better quality and energy.

When I'm watching it seems he's breaking up more plays and causing the other team to turn it over more than any other of our dmen AINEC, and he's very engaged physically as well. I can't count the number of times he's been the one back on two on ones and broke them up this season, even a couple ones where he had no stick. I think often times people will just say a player is bad defensively because they're good offensively

Dave Maloney was talking about De Angelo yesterday in his podcast with Giannone. Tony needs to be babysat constantly. He is not that great of player to have the Rangers coaches constantly worry about his attitude. There is no long-term future with him.

Maloney also discussed Shattenkirk. Kevin needs to hit the gym and lose some weight. No surprise. Stattenkirk looks puffy. Maloney and Shattenkirk have known each other for a long time. Maloney still calls him out. He reported to camp in bad shape in 2017 too. What is Gorton going to do with this guy? He has two years remaining on his contract. Thankfully it's only two years.

Here is the thing about Shattenkirk and Free agency. All of the Rangers fans wanted Shattenkirk and how he was going to transform the Rangers. He was their missing RHD. Shattenkirk and McDonagh would form one of the best D pairings in the NHL. Same thing with Kovalchuk. He was awful this season. The Kings left him home during a road trip and Ilya posted a picture of him eating ice cream with his family while his team was playing on the road. So many Ranger fans wanted that guy too. If there is large group of people wanting a certain player in free agency, buyer beware and stay away.

The Rangers were 27-26-9 at the trading deadline. Twenty games left. The Rangers went 5-10-5. 32-36-14. They didn't play well after the deadline. No surprise. The Rangers didn't tank. They just stink. The fewest ROW in the NHL. 26. We wanted the Rangers to be higher heading the lottery. OTOH,the Rangers were 10th/11th not that long ago. Those predictions about the Rangers being a bottom five team this season were right there. I don't see things changing very drastically next season. Especially if they play more young guys in bigger roles.

#6 and #22. The Winnipeg pick was #19 before they won last night. #22. It will stay #22 if they don't reach the WCF. I think Vegas is getting out the Pacific. The Flower is the best goalie in the division. Better than the Calgary duo and Jones. Their pick goes into the bottom 4 in that scenario. Nashville struggled to beat Vancouver and Chicago at home. That team has trouble generating offense. Winnipeg is struggling big time. Hayes has played well for them too. He will get paid this summer. St. Louis or Dallas gets out of the Central. Their pick moves down too. Winnipeg's pick could be #20 with Vegas and Dallas/STL reaching the WCF.

The Sabres own the Blues and Sharks picks. Buffalo traded a #1 to Anaheim for Montour.

The pick the Ducks receive will be one of three first-round selections the Sabres had held. The Ducks will get the pick traded to Buffalo by San Jose, unless the first-round pick the Sabres acquired from St. Louis turns out to be 20th or later in the draft. In that case, the Ducks would get the better of the two picks.

Ducks trade Brandon Montour to Sabres for a first-round pick and a prospect

The Blues are at #20 right now. That could change based on the playoff results.

I it was disappointing to drop a spot in G82, but I think we should be glad to be in the position we are in.

We are a lot better than our record show with only 36 RTL (regular time losses), and had pretty average goaltending on top of that. So many pts were lost in coin flip situation. 36 RTLs are only the 21 fewest in the league which is much better than our record show.

Quinn went above and beyond trying to lose games at the end. Sat out Hank for some Bulgarian kid. Sat out players for any reason he could make up. Played kids high up the lineup, like Lias, despite getting zero productions. Playing Brendan effin Smith as a forward while giving kids like Lindgren ice time on defense. The people saying that we would be a much worse team after we dumped the vets were wrong, we got more points.

On Tony D, Dave Maloney was talking about De Angelo yesterday in his podcast with Giannone. Maloney was raving about his ability. Said that we had seen good Tony more than bad Tony this season, and that he will get the support he needs from the room and coaching staff going forward. It’s 12 min in of episode 82.

That's not true. Rangers had 62 points in 63 games at the deadline. They ended up getting 16 points in the remaining 19 games. While not as big of a drop as I think a lot of people expected, they still did perform worse.

To be fair, they weren't a bottom five team until they shipped some of their best talent out of here at the deadline (Zook & Hayes) and that clearly affected the team short term (morale) and long term (nobody to fill those holes). Had they stayed (not that they should have) this team would've probably ended up 20th.

You think this team is a playoff team with those guys?

Cant that Jets pick slide down to 19 if a bunch of things break the Rangers way? Like the Jets lose in the first 2 rounds and 3 teams below them in the standings make it to the conference finals?

Ideal situation Jets lose in round 1, Dallas makes it to the conference finals along with say Carolina and Vegas.
